crazy_man
i have been noticed that in mta it has been no slow motion. so can you in mta do somthing with that please... Link to comment
Combine
Nope. Because the currently Windows XP does not support the bending of time. Link to comment
eAi
Its true, slow motion in multiplayer games really doesn't work, hence max payne (2) doesn't have multiplayer. One thing that has been suggested, and might work, is to make "slow motion" make you move faster. This would have the same effect (i.e. you can dodge things - though not bullets - and be harder to hit). Making you slower, as slow motion does in Vice City, would kinda be counter-productive as it'd make you an easy target. eAi Link to comment
SOI-Horus
Has anyone played Half-Life mod The Specialists? The bullet time works great in that mod but I don't think that it would be a good choice for MTA. Personally I'm against it. Although there could be some funny add-on servers or so... Link to comment
Slothman
can you imagine how annoying it would be to be driving along, then all of a sudden everything slows down cause someone on the other end of the city just popped a pill. Link to comment
Posty
can you imagine how annoying it would be to be driving along, then all of a sudden everything slows down cause someone on the other end of the city just popped a pill. That would be so....... GAY. If everything slowed down, because someone went off a jump/took some drugs, that would suck. Link to comment
Kent747
there have been gamedev article written on this topic... one suggestion is everyone in that room would slow down, but still the fact remains that when time slows down, it doesn't for the other gamers while they are playing, the reason why it works in SP gamesis because the AI is written to respond in a way as if time never slowed down in the first place... Scorp
naah don't like the slow motion effect for mp, but since the modding cababilities are so gd i wouldn't mind trying it out, if somebody managed to pull it off how much work is involved with adding such a complex feature? Link to comment
eAi
A feature that distorts the space time continuum? A couple of hours maybe? eAi Link to comment
Scorp
A feature that distorts the space time continuum? A couple of hours maybe?eAi lol doesn't sound so easy, but then i again i dont know anything about programming and if MTA executes the slow-motion on every client at once then it doesn't sound so very impossible. Im glad tho that this feature aint gonna be following with MTA:Blue Link to comment
ImVision
scorp, it cant be done properly. think about it for a while, you'll see why. Link to comment
Scorp
scorp, it cant be done properly. think about it for a while, you'll see why. yea it seems as a rather messy add-on, but i don't really care cause actually i don't want it in MTA at all, im glad we can be looking forward to a working MTA:Blue, let the mods be the modders headache Link to comment
crazy_man
"Making you slower, as slow motion does in Vice City, would kinda be counter-productive as it'd make you an easy target" well in stunt mode then u cant be an easy target so if u can put slow motion there and not in dethmatch or the other planned gaming type Link to comment
Slothman
heh, spectators would have time to admire your jump and walk around it as you came back down Link to comment
b0b0
Why do you want slow motion? Link to comment
NosGoth
He wants a bullit-time-effect, because he thinks it ccould be cool. Link to comment
crazy_man
no i think it would be cool to make stunts movies on mta Link to comment
NosGoth
no i think it would be cool to make stunts movies on mta You shouldn't make stuntvid's in MTA. 'Cause the replays are too short. Link to comment
Morgage
Why not just record the stunt while you do it instead ? Link to comment
Scar
Yep, that is what I do for stunt movies.. Record as you do it.. (I usually do it in MTA). Link to comment
NosGoth
That s*cks, because you can't get a nice point of view that way. Plus the HUD and radar are anoying. (Though you can turn it all off ofcourse.) Still that doesn't make it smart to record the stunt as you do it, because I have to do stunts over and over again before they are good enough. So that would mean I get alot of small videos that I recorded with stunts on it that are crappy. No I'm stickin' to the replays. Link to comment
Si|ent
You could always use the replay tool thats available (google for it), allows you to save multiple replays. I believe it saves each with a different name. Link to comment
NosGoth
Thats true but if I was gonna use it for MTA then I get a mass-load of small replay-files which I can't properly record with Fraps. So thats still no option for me. I only do stunting in single player. (although I like to have fun with people in stunt-servers. Just for the fun not for the video-making) Link to comment
Si|ent
Think of the possibilities if you did though. Synchronised Stunting Team anyone? Link to comment
