Rule suggestions on site:

1) On many gang/clan/guild based forum places it gets full up of 'I want to join a gang' threads. Do you plan to do anything about this?

2) If I had a gang, and wanted a practice-type war, could I post a topic on it?

3) If I desperatly want to join a gang; but not one in particular, just any, how should I go about it?

a) Look at other posts, and reply there

b) Post a new thread saying 'RobZGod wants to join a gang etc;'

c) Stop wasting time and make my own bloody gang?

hmm - good questions - my opinion below, so not that binding =)

I think a new gang forum might need to be set up for warfare/match setup etc etc, and another for general discussion, with the existing one for recruiting.

Any "I want to join a gang" should be deleted, unless the person is well known by everyone, is a regular, has respect etc etc =)

And joining any old clan? - just join a random one, if they accept you, your in =)

We will build a ladder system (or download one) The gangs themselves need to take care of there own site for recruiting and posting in the end. This forum was launched as a platform to start things up

I just wondered... what is the point of having clans if there is no support for gangs in MTA?..

Or will there actually be support for gangs in later versions...

i think whats being said is that MTA will not be organising games etc, that is up to the gangs to decide etc.

The idea of gangs in mta is a great one, and ive already got started on gathering one 2getha. although, is there any possible way or maybe you already have it in the new mta, that the new mta can accumulate how many kills, points, etc, each person/gang member gets. This could help gang leaders promote and demote gang members. Its a good way of keeping track on how well your members are doing.

The way we run our gang areas over at GTAForums is to have a "Public Gang Chat" where each gang creates a topic into which everyone can contribute. Then there is a seperate "Recruiment Center" area, where each gang may post one topic explaining what they do, whether they will specialise in certain types of gameplay (such as DM, Cannonball Runs, etc) and where members looking to join a gang may post a "Free Agent" style of topic, into which the various gangs may suggest thier gang if they want that member.

For MTA-specific gangs as you'll have here, the public gang chat topics should be enough for them to organise when and where they will get together to play games, I'd suggest.

Hmmm ......the gang members dont seem to be very friendly over at gtaforums.com when it comes to MTA gangs, i think they feel threatened that their "forum" gangs may b over run or summit, i duno.

well blasta is a forum-based gang to start with, and one of the originals, and i was hoping for those gangs to start getting involved with mta or a gtaMP mod, as thats what most of them were originally set up to do =)

About a year and a half ago I tried promoting a GTA2 tournament in the gang area, got about a dozen entries but no-one actually player thier games. Just dumb kids, they aren't even organised to TAKE PART in a piss-up at a brewery!

i thought i oughter post this here being gang orintated

but its more of a suggestion...

some one sould post a tutorial on how some one could and an

occupation to MTA for gangs. Then have a download section here.

The new player-created occupations could be downloaded as updates

so that everyone can play against every one.

Also it may help the gang wars when finding team mates.

Gangs who do have thier own occupation could also put a link to it

in their threds

Another idea is that the MTA team takes requests from gangs.

The gang could have to fill out a form like this.

Gang Name:

Weapons Wanted: (1 Hand To Hand, 1 Pistol, 1 Two Handed Weapon)

Spawnpoints Wanted: 2 max

Modal/Skin Wanted: Person could send in thier own (possibly)

Then MTA could once a month make Gang Patches to d/l or realse

them with the newest version.
