Well I just sold my 1700 and my 1 gig but I am left with

Toshiba Sat 950mhz that I use for mIRC and msn/aol/yahoo plus admin clients when I am in game

Shuttle 800mb fsb 3.0 gig pentium 1 gig of memory 120 gig harddrive with a 128 mb FX5200 ultra (Nvidia made not for production use vid card)

PIII 800 at a whoooping 133fsb..256mb of RdRam running @ 800...(don't ask..it seemedl ike a good idea at the time)

and i t runs everything i've tried! and most things smoothly too

Is ther summit about DVD drives? Mines don't work either and it scratches Discs. Also, I heated my C&C Generals disc up sooo much it cracked it! I just use the CDRW to play games now. Works just the same.

(Had to Edit. I put DVDRW instead of CDRW. Goddamn my screwed mind)

Buy a new DVD reader, my DVD reader hasn't damaged my C&C Generals CD and I play it a lot...

every cd drive /writer i've owned has ended up being useless/unreliable, well i did have one LG CD-RW best one i've ever had, even had 8mb cache on it (before the days of burn proof and that) but sold it with old computer

at the moment i don't even have a cd drive on it, use images with alcohol, copied over all the cd's onto comp...well..until the drive complety died anywho

nah its been with different powersupplies and computers componets etc...only thing i could think of was wierd voltage spikes that only affect my cd drives

although praps its cuz i often left the cd's in when i turned off the comptuer althoguh i doubtit..

One for gaming it is a new aleinware computer. SUPER FAST.

The second one is me server it's about two years old and runs unix's.

The third one is my laptop i use for school it's alse new, its a aleinware too
