Samurai_Ohk
There were a couple minor typos but ehh, its not for a grade. I liked it, maybe you could put more cinematic shots in it perhaps, and..... Good job Link to comment

Ramon
I also think there should not be a competition, I like both of then I only think when you make a themed vid, you also MUST do good tricks, and not only focus on the storyline Link to comment
Prokopis
if "SIN-ACT2" VS "Kill DJ", Winner Maybe is "SIN" Quite frankly I found both videos very average at best and definitely not up to par to the production values we'd been used to and had seen so far. Because of that many ppl might've been let down and may not be expecting much from this scene until this gets reversed. Dunno, maybe this whole "new turn" to themed videos is just a bad idea, since usually it just boils down to prolonged dull dialogues, a loosely connected, minimally thought out plot and boring half-decent stunting thrown in as a bad excuse for the much needed part of action. A few thoughts on this scene follow: IMO when you're thinking about making a themed video you should never forget that it's still a movie and as such, there needs to be some action in it. No one's gonna think "oh great now I can sit back, relax and enjoy a good 15 minutes of written dialogue and fancy skins showcasting!". It is not a soap opera or drama ffs, so I don't see why the action has to be so screwed over in these kind of productions. "It's not a stunt movie!" is not an excuse and if you can't be bothered to make a vid right, no one's forcing you to do it. Even more so, you're expected to at least come up with a cohesive plot for your movie. Best way to ensure that would be to put yourselves in the viewers' shoes and not assume they'll know anything about the situations, the characters or the facts of your movie before they see it for the first time. Check that what you're showing them seems logical, might be possible in real life, but above all else that it happens for some reason (hopefully important enough to call for it). I'm not mentioning all of the above because they all have to do with some particular movie, but more as pointers and advice I believe to be right. So to all aspiring movie makers out there, I am asking you to plz just consider them from now on. Now, on to this thread's subject: I haven't seen volume 1 and I hoped it wouldn't matter very much. Now I was either terribly mistaken, or you definitely needed some Star Wars-like intro text or something to fill ppl in, because honestly that tough to make out yellow text didn't help me understand why everything happened the way it did. This is what I got out of it: - This guy wants to get revenge at some1, but goes out on the street killing a bunch of ppl? Then he ends up shot and hospitalized for no reason. - His wife (runnin around the city in yellow tights and a katana in hand) doesn't go to see him, but goes to the beach to talk to some random chick that knows all about the mark, but not that her husband was hurt? And why does she need to prove she can stunt? Then she goes on to kill fatso cause he "betrayed" her husband and I've got no idea what that's all about . - Either way, you follow that with about a dozen half-good stunts which easily eat up 2-3 mins of movie time and then instead of her going back to get the info she wanted after "having proven" she can stunt to that beach chick, she goes to the docks to meet her husband? How's that happen? She didn't even see him @ the hosp, but they already arranged to meet? Or does that happen like months later? - Then you got some real l33t walking footage for about half a min, the wife gets shot at, but decides to drown herself for good measure instead. The miraculously healed guy now goes to the docks too (after they arranged the meeting psychicly), we enjoy another 30 secs of pristine walking/running, he knows exactly where to look for his wife (whom he can't find) and finally gets shot by the same dude that's probly 20ft away from him. End of story, to be continued. After all that, the vid isn't over, but you take 2 more mins showing kinda blooper-ish captures just to tell ppl you did all the acting, stunting, editing (in a word producing), what the 4 songs were - quite good, but overall unnoticed cause of all the reading - and to give thx, which coulda been done in like 20-30 secs of continuous scrolling text. Dunno, maybe I'm just being a picky Nancy about this, but for the life of me I don't see why Mad boy there is so excited, especially after having to let my 56k modem download a whole night (that's right ppl, seven bleedin hours) to get to see this. Hope vol. 3 is better... Link to comment
