Different version of GTA:SA

I tried running MTA with my newly purchased copy of San Andreas (I bought it just to play MTA, actually...I already own it for PS2), and I found out the hard way that my version isn't supported. It says that it is only compatible with version 1.0, and I have 1.1. Is there another patch somewhere that will help me bridge this discrepency? Or did I spend the twenty bucks for nothing?

Hmm if you did search the forum a bit, you could find out that there is a downgrade to v1.0 which you need to play MTA.. http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15151

I apologize for not searching out the answer first...but I was short on time when I found the forum and was anxious to get a response. I appreciate the replies and I'll do my best not to be an idiot in the future. Thanks.

Hey, does patching it back to 1.0 make it that "Hot Coffee" version? Just curious...

I just got the game and didn't pay much attention to all of that when it was going on.

It will change it back to the first version where the hot-coffee mod is possible. A waning must be issued: MTA does not work with any other mods changing the MTA files and I personnaly think you're sick if you want to use Hot Coffee... just my 2 cents

havent tried it .. but i cant imagine it being any more sick compared to a random porn movie

unless 'being in control' makes you feel different about it ..

but i do agree - from the two screenshots ive seen on it .. you probably wont miss a lot

I googled it and the screenshots look really cheesy...almost like a child's interpretation of what goes on in a grown-ups bedroom.

Well, I gave the Hot Coffee mod a shot, and it didn't work. I even uninstalled the game, reinstalled, ran the 1.00 patch, and then ran the mod. It gets to the part where you go inside of the house and the screen goes black. The program then becomes unresponsive. I think that the whole thing may have been completely removed from 1.01, not just patched over.
