the patch is stricly for the server, you will only need it if you are running your own server now all you have to do it DL the latest client install and play solved

are you trying to apply the patch on your server or are u trying to apply the patch on your client?

the MTA team tries to do that with every version they put out and they hae done a good job so far you also gotta rember that they do this on their free time...its not a job for them(although i'm sure they feel like it is sometimes)

From the Known Issues thread hope this helps if it doesn't then please refer to the known issues thread for any other possible fixes

try to join different servers and see if you get the same problem not to sure what would cause thins problem if that doesn't work then try posting ur system stats and pics of the client on here

from the known issues thread try this hopfully it works Crash on client startup This might be causes by being unable to download the welcome message. This should only happen if the MTA site is down, or you aren't connected to the internet. If this is the case, it should try to download it for about 15 seconds - before it gives the crash. It might be possible to fix this by adding "DontGetLatest=1" on the second line of your "mta.ini" in your MTA folder (under "[Main]"). Alternatively, try creating a blank file called "mtaclientwelcome.dat" in your MTA folder - this is probably only relevant if this is the first time you've run the MTA 0.5 client. Update: We've managed to replicate, confirm and fix this bug. Whenever we release a general patch, this will be fixed. In the meantime, ensure mtaclient.exe can access the internet through your firewall, or for on a LAN you can change the following value in mta.ini . Code DontGetLatest=1

like u both said car killing is fine i do it from time to time but i have run into many ppl that all they do it car kill and when u try to kill them they run away to get another car and try again, if thats all they do then theres no point in the wepaons, you might aswell take them all out and put in a shit load of cars diversity is the key... kill with cars heli's and weapons its all fun

try lowering the capacity of your server it shouldn't do that at all or reinstalling the MTA server

the prob with peds it that if we put them into the game (synced)it would creat a tremencous amount of lag and bassically make the game unplayable maybe on day the the far future you will see synced peds with MTA but that day is not today.....

hey pretty good i like the part where u landed on the two peds by the cop station

sounds pretty fishy to me but it is possible that it was lag, theres no real way to find out for sure

no master i doubt we will ever have 100% protection against mods,cheats, and that stuff. the only thing you can do right now is to have vigilant admins in the servers. depending on the servers you go to that seems to be enough right now, many of the larger servers do a very good job with spoting cheats.

from know issues: not sure about your router as i have never used one, but i think you must make sure that the port is free someone correct me if im wrong

all those pics were from us trying to find the syncing prob like bump said in his first post they may or may not be a prob in the final release pls do not take those pics as acual gameplay in the new version
