That kick is caused by Cheat Engine. Make sure it is not running.

I used this for installing a test server and it worked flawlessly. One suggestion would be to pipe the output to a log file rather than /dev/null - So if it does go wrong, there is something to look at.

If you ran MTADiag, then it would have applied the latest patch which fixed it.

See if you can uninstall the adware from Windows 'Control Panel'->'Programs and Features'
