  1. The game engine is different, I bought it on my moms surface via the windows store and it's exactly like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIcP5NDb8WQ So I don't think that it does support MTA, you should buy it via steam. Game engine wouldn't be the biggest worry, not to mention GTA:SA only uses RenderWare Graphics, not the whole engine. Though, GTA:SA mobile still uses RenderWare.
  2. Please don't add more junk to the useful functions page - it's for actual useful functions, not this.
  3. Why not? It's not like it's a lot of work to do something like this.
  4. That's how your text editor felt like representing compiled code.
  5. It is possible but hardly doable. It's a lot of work.
  6. You misunderstood it - "call it once" as in call it whenever needed, not every frame.
  7. You just repeated what I said.?
  8. function foo () foo () end foo ()
  9. This is very inefficient - You only need to call setPedCanBeKnockedOffBike once.

    math.random

math.random generates a pseudo-random number based on a seed, which just in case you can change by calling math.randomseed, in a specified range. There's no single use for it.

    Lua dir listing

The_GTA ported the MTA:Eir filesystem module to MTA:BLUE, you may try it if it turns out to be needed: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Modules/FileSystem

    The coin ate it.

    Help! Tables!

There is no real minimum index you can specify for a table, but table functions will only count from 1 onwards (table.insert, ipairs, ...).
  15. ASI are just DLL libraries that are loaded at game startup, as Jusonex said, therefore they can access and modify the game's memory, cheat and even interfere with the server (mess with the network code, for instance). If you want graphic mods, find a server that has them.

    little question

You can use math.ceil or math.floor to round numbers.

    Asking advice

Whenever the client crashes, the connection times out (server --> client), therefore onPlayerQuit is triggered.
  18. Such "generosity" from the MTA team can cause huge issues to many players. Those ASI files are loaded by the game and may be used to cheat. Additionally, server owners may use the scripting API to improve the user's gameplay experience if they want to.
  19. Euphoria is a proprietary engine. Like any of those engines, it's likely to be far from cheap, it's not worth the money, neither does any MTA developer can afford or want to spend that amount of money on this. The short answer is: no, that isn't going to happen. This is a multiplayer mod after all, not a Put-Everything-You-See-That-Could-Look-Cool-On-GTASA mod.

    Checking Files

Since there is no implementation of the cyclic redundancy check (CRC) algorithm available through the scripting API, you might try md5 instead.
  21. How is this even possible. This section's name clearly says that it is for NON-HELP MTA discussions.
  22. This is for IRC and forum quotes only. Darn Woovie!
  23. MTA:Eir is not a tool, it is a fork of the MTA:BLUE core, it's basically an improved version of MTA. "It aims to enrich the MTA core with functionality, purpose and stability. It has been inspired by the limitations set forth by the current MTA:BLUE system." - The_GTA (Eir developer) "wants to fulfil his dream: a perfect MTA:SA experience, for gamers and modders". You can find more about it at https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/MTA:Eir and viewtopic.php?f=167&t=54607.

    Logs

It would decrease I/O, but you would hardly notice any change in memory usage.

    Green Candy

It has been having updates all this time. Currently The_GTA is busy with exams but in about two weeks he'll resume work on the so awaited merge with the Eir fork.
