time for some little windows tweaking then kill as much processes as possible (ctrl+alt+delete and shut down explorer, and some other processes wich aren't of any need) with the explorer shut down. you don't have the windows interface anymore. but just use "new task" and browse to the mta executable. or try defragmentation. or updating your drivers. and if you have over 256mb of ram you could allso disable the paging executive and enable the largesystemcache. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management in you register (start-->run-->regedit) and set both DisablePagingExecutive and LargeSystemCache to 1 you could allso disable some services (start-->run-->services.msc) like the themes service. if you disable it, you save memory and use the classic windows style.

the way I do it: create map save it open .map file in text editor. open up vehicles.ide find the car you want ([CTRL]+[F]) replace vehicle number with other number from vehicles.ide from spawns you want to start with other vehicle. save it again... ([CTRL]+ ) place it in your maps folder and/or on the map center page. play it! (it's cool to see if you open up the map again in the editor that the cars are allready as you've set them when you load your map)

hmm, you probably get framedrop... try if lowering your graphics a little. and about bike races, there's a little trick wich let's you get a fast start. so starting last on bike races only is just a matter of training...

don't cross-post... I've allready read this in the previous topic I've visited...

you have to join with the LAN ip. go to pc 2, and go to start --> run --> typ cmd --> typ ipconfig and you'll get the home network-ip. use that ip in quick connect.

not seeing your own server is normal. seeing it is good. so good for you but not seeing it isn't a problem...

only team deathmatch??? as far as I know the MTA team has never released team deathmatch.

search the forum, there's a fix for it to convert 2.0 --> 1.0

let's start from the start... if you fire up your server... does this line appear? All Seeing Eye Listing enabled. Port 22126 (UDP) must be acessible from the internet if it doesn't, there's something wrong in your server configuration file... make sure no # is before the line. otherwise it won't load it. if that isn't the problem then probably there's something wrong with your firewall and/or router and is blocking it. try registrating your server on http://game-monitor.com and check if it sees your server (uses ASE port) or not.

but you could allso just post your problems in just 1 topic... it's a lot easier to view.

give your ip to your friends and let them quick connect.

yes good guess... the server is running from your own pc, and if you shut down your pc... ofcourse it stops...

ofcourse you can play on it. fire up mta and use localhost as ip in the quick connect menu.

you have a lot of problems, don't you... forward the ASE port in your router and firewall. and it's not a big problem if you can not see your own server becouse it's normal. the server browser is for other people. you can just connect to your server with localhost as ip.

that window IS the server, so if you shut the program down, it's usual it stops working since you chose to stop the progress. just minimize it. or leave it there....

there's no need of loggin in into your own server becouse you allready are the server. you just can type commands in the server window.

Bad I didn't make a screenshot of it, but I got one hell of an action. on airport dogfight. only two were left, a sabre. and me (hunter). he drove into the parking garage and I was able to fly low and shoot inside it. I allmost hit him. then he drove deeper into it. I decided to fly away and shoot the ground (where he was beneath) in the hope he could get caught by some splash damage. the 1st shot was allready fatal, and I saw a door come flying up through the ground. that was really fun. after that, no one hid in the parking garage anymore.

it isn't the first time MTA is in a games magazine. some years ago. (when gta 3 was the newest GTA game) the "Power Unlimited" (Benelux) allso wrote an article about MTA, that's how I found the site.

hmm I've never played @ x360 but great chance it uses bluetooth yeah, so you will probably be able to connect the x360 controller with a bluetooth adaptor in the pc. (like an usb reciever)

ok good to know, becouse I manually changed the version after some fixes. but I'll set them back to 1.0
