once again its been suggested. Ill let this one slide considering its been a while since its been discussed. no point having any ranking until scores etc can be worked out. and ranking can only be determined in tournies etc.

problem - people are easily going to be able to lob grenades over and just camp the stairs etc etc, so the defenders should have crap ammo i guess. The fact that there is only one route to the top means that as a koth objective it might be fine, but as a stronghold, i wouldnt want to try take it away from 5 people with uzis!

its a great idea to have a fully operational admin console where you press ` or ~ and you can type multiple commands, but the mta team cant alter the gta3.exe so i doubt they can bring up and 'drop down menu' type thing, Id say all of that would have to be controlled by the console, and there is no reason (except for time and programming exp) that those options cant be implemented.

Having followed the progress of MTA since its first public release on feb 19 (im pretty sure that waas when the site was opened) and its been great keeping up with the progress of the game. These guys work for nothing to provide a quality mod, they may suffer a prodcuers syndrome was inhibits them from putting out anything which isnt perfect, and therefore delaying the releast all the time, but quality is paramount. Anyone remember Sin? Everyone who has bitched about mta will end up testing the finished product guaranteed. I suggest the bloker and vogel make a list of people who have slagged off mta, and then see how many come back, guarantee you 80% of them (or more) will, with a new username overcourse (the beauties of IP logging come in handy i guess =P) GGM is great, but it only shows the potential which MTA can, and will exceed come 0.3b. Had a bad version of mta come out, it would be all over, everyone would complain (more than they are now) and leave, eveyone will bandwagon once 0.3b is up, i things may hopefully steamroll from there. I hope GGM does get another release, its a solid mod, but there is no real 'competition' between the 2 that i know of, just people who want it cause they think the MTA team owe it to them, to release the mod when they say they will. No one on this team owes you anything at all, now you will have to check the web site every day and be active (something you wouldnt do if you were boycotting mta) to find out when 0.3b is released. Im sure ill have some forewarning of the date, but since some of you decided to moan, its your problem =) enough of my speel, just let the guys do what they need to do in their own time, ill be around to mod topics with overuse of swearing, and deleting/modifying/locking posts and threads which directly insult producers of the mod or other forum members. So if you see the words f**K you turn into 'i love you man' you know ive been there

the ball would end up moving on its own no? - setting the weight of the manana (ball) to like 0.1kg would do the same =) Its too hard to make a ball (physics would be a pain)

if memory serves my correctly - darkel was meant to be a relation of D-Ice! His missions were all rampage-esque and were taken out due to 9/11 and releated crises'. Wether the code for those missions still remains or not i dont know.

admin should have the power to kick/ban on site for any reason - just like in an irc chan or forum. If we see them breaking the rules they go, problem solved =) - as for unlimited ammo etc, sounds good to me =P =)

Q. arent those the dual mp3/cd players with a 20gb HD? - they are meant to be good but expensive A. Who will start playing mta 24/7 so they can be the best for future ctw games?

actually - ggm was in production from i think august to october 2002. the guy who made it just thought no one would really care about what he was doing or something to that extent, so he left it. Once mta 0.2a was released he saw people were interested and released it finally. MTA may have been the first released, but the first made was ggm. and ggm is a great mod - it shows the potential of 0.3a, and i really hope that 0.3b passes the benchmark that has been set by ggm, which imo is damn fine. I only wish he could join the MTA team =) - btw - hows the C++ coding coming along guys?

i mentioned that? - was probably blok or bill that mentioned release date stuff.... i usually just delete those posts anyway =) As for tournies and stuff - it could be possible in 0.3b, but maybe once we find the mods limitations we can work on that. Would be great if mta could organise it themselves =)
