I know that the clients connect to it for certain purposes such as updates, MOTD, etc., so maybe the server apps do too.

The MTA file archive hosts it locally here, but the archive hasn't been restored yet due to the recent outage of services. Be patient. As for those file errors, read the readme that comes with MTA:mA. I believe you have to edit and/or copy some stuff before running it.

It may be due to the MTA webmasters still trying to get all the services back up and running 100%. Hang in there for now.

Glad to hear it! The forums were a terrible mess before. What are you guys hosting on now? P.S. Blokker, are you in charge of this part of the services? If so, I would like to speak to you sometime in the future regarding something similar in hopes you can open my eyes to some mistakes I have been making, but that's another topic for another day.

There should be user settings for both in your user account settings. The administrators should only need to enable it on the board's settings in the administrative control panel.

Title explains it. Recreated it because the archive is still missing, and the multiple forum restorations deleted the topic.
