Thanks for the defence Bump Yeah everyone (um... right) on the team is working very hard on MTA, we've got lots of things going on at the moment (some we're saying very little about), so even if 0.4 is slow, it may be partly because we're trying to get other things going as well so you don't have to wait too long for that. Of course, we've also got real-life issues to deal with as well. Don't call us (or anyone) lazy until you've got conclusive proof! eAi

It'll appear at some point eAi

other users posting from this IP...MRBUMP U RETARD

I find that very unlikly that two people who use the same forum both have the same IP within a couple of days.eAi -
Anyone who has this problem is probably using an ATI card. If you are make sure you have the latest drivers from http://www.ati.com. eAi

The bus only technically holds 4, any other actors that enter it are destroyed, then a random number (?) come out when it stops. eAi

... Or use a no-cd patch - much easier. eAi

Have a look at http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=7656 ... eAi

Just to clear this up (a quick search would have), there will be one skin to start with. We'll try to get other skins in when we can. Bob_TDH: I don't believe that GTA3 sucks, and I'm sure not many people would agree with you. In the play test we had the other night, I found GTA3 much more interesting as multiplayer than Vice City, mainly because you're restricted to one island, and concequently have a higher car density and more intense fights. Theres also some other reasons... eAi

I voted No, mainly because I didn't understand what you said. I also don't understand how a piece of code (this forum) can have a sexuality? eAi

Interesting idea, somthing that might be avaliable in the future eAi

Well i'm not promising anything... Although i'd probably empasize that this would be an MTA only addon (if it gets anywhere that is), as the interface with vc is too complex to bother with (at this stage anyway). eAi

To be honest we're currently on version 0.3/0.4, we're not even half-way to 1.0, so whatever anyone says (particularily not on the team), is not set in stone. The best thing to do is to enjoy what you've got, and look forward to the amazing things that are coming... (and hope ) eAi

This would techincally be possible, thought it would be quite hard work, considering the complexities... I might have a look into it. I did make a pedestrian follow a path nicely once... so maybe this could be expanded... eAi

Were they sync'd? That is the question... eAi

No-cd cracks exist because of such reasons (and people who don't buy the game), but anyway, its because people either don't like switching cds, or have cd drives that can't cope with the speed, that no-cd patches exist.eAi

I don't know what the file is encoded in but you may need DivX or XviD (http://www.3ivx.com has a good codec)... Otherwise, I don't know.... Perhaps try another media player (winamp maybe?) or VLC (http://www.videolan.org/). eAi

Those weird colour effects you see in that picture and some of the others you may see in the future is a bug in the game engine (R*), that has been exacerbated by MTA. MTA:VC 0.4 is pretty similar to 0.3, with a new skin (no racer) as mentioned elsewhere.eAi
-
Techincally, they come under the term warez because they're illegal (modifying the exe is against the EULA). Concequently, MTA don't condone their use, though they don't actively try to prevent it.eAi

We've got a couple already. We can't exactly pay people to admin servers "24/7", and finding reliable admins is hard. This is already done (in effect), using CRC checks... Problem is people have got around these checks. I started writing such a program, but to be honest, the ammount of work that would have to go into such a project so that the result is useable (and stops cheating effectively) is huge. Well you'd be wrong. MTA works on a traditional Server->Client model. (like almost every other online game). Lag is a combination of poor client side implementation (this will get better) and the general restrictions we have to put up with (we don't have any GTA source code)...eAi
-
Why doesn't someone make a comprehensive guide to whats cheating and what isn't, with some nice screenshots etc... We need somthing seriously n00b friendly (server admins) to cope with this kind of situation (it can only get better)... eAi

What'd be the point of "picture maps"? He means like tottally new maps (e.g. Myriad)... eAi

At the moment, yes.eAi

Please search first! Just click the "Reset Game path" button (AS IT SAYS), then click Start Game, and select your gta-vc exe, and off you go. eAi

I think you must have got your maths wrong. You're suggesting that your server was outputing on average 830KB/s of data... (5.7 * 1024 * 1024) / 2 / 60 / 60 = 830 Thats 51KB/s per player... No... I was downloading at the time at about 40KB/s and I got 100 ping (not bad for another country). There is no way i or anyone else was consistently downloading at that rate. Maybe you mean 5.1KB/s or 0.51KB/s... eAi

Currently there are no skins in GTA3:MTA 0.4 (this may change later)... It didn't seem to be too much of a problem in the tests, though perhaps it'll get a bit more confusing in Gang matches, thought tags should make it quite clear who is on which gang...eAi
