50p Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I know it's not difficult to create a file and type couple of lines in it but if you don't want to type it yourself, you can use this simple web page which generates the file content for you. How to use: 1. Fill all the fields you need and click "generate meta.xml" button. 2. Click "select all" button to select the lines that gets generated. 3. Press Ctrl+C to copy to clipboard (had to say it, lol). Test it here: http://y50p.50g.com/meta_generator.html To download it click here: http://y50p.50g.com/archives/mta/meta_generator.zip
DutchCaffeine Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Nice _50p But you need to know not everybody has javascript on in their browser. Try to do it with php.
Winky Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Nice _50pBut you need to know not everybody has javascript on in their browser. Try to do it with php. Evry modern browser got Javascript...
DutchCaffeine Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Yes, i know! But the user can turn on or off javascript that is the whole problem. And for security reasons you can better turn it off.
50p Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 You can't hack PCs using JavaScript. If you don't use JavaScript, don't use this generator lol. If I made it in PHP, you'd have to wait until page loads up to see if you filled something incorrectly or did not fill at all. Everything happens on one page.
Willy Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 can you make the page look a bit nicer please? it's hurting my eyes. but n1 - it will be useful for those who don't know how to make a meta.xml.
darkdreamingdan Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I think its better in Javascript. Means i can download it and use it locally.
Scarface Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 wow this is lovely but its not so hard to make a meta.xml yourself but overall very nice, works great with firefox
Michael_Sund Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 pppl without javascript is suckers D, nah just kidding but i don't believe there's any ppl without it ^^
Gamesnert Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 pppl without javascript is suckers D, nah just kidding but i don't believe there's any ppl without it ^^ Barely, there are enough people who disable it, thinking it can have SERIOUSLY bad effects on your PC. It can have some bad effects, but I think the most dangerous part of Javascript is that your browser may crash due to maybe a poor scripter. ^^

But that must be the WORST case scenario you can have with Javascript!

CodeMaster Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Epic bump dude. It's used not to revive such old topics if there's no need of discussion, but this may come handy to other newbs now.
12p Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Nope. But there's another option. viewtopic.php?f=108&t=36514

50p Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 It is no longer available. It was basic web based meta.xml generator. Currently I'm working on MTA:SE which will generate meta.xml files for you. viewtopic.php?t=24834
