Would it be possible to compile and run an MTA server on Raspberry Pi? I have a B model of it and i'm willing to try compiling and running a mta server on it :D

Yes i mean that. I'm quite sure i need to compile the server for ARM before i can use it.

Indeed you do. Good luck!

It's possible, and it works. I did ran a server on my old Galaxy S II once.

I'm wasn't trying to imply it's impossible, but most people wouldn't have the ability to do that easily.

I've ordered a rasberry pi! Can't wait :) I'm sure you can run an MTA server on it just use the linux server.

Good luck

I currently dont have enough freetime to test it but i will at some point.

Tell me if you succeeded at it :)

Let me know what the results are because I'm planning on doing some home hosting and switching to Raspberries/Beagleboard, heard beagleboard is better but also twice as expensive as a raspberry.

Euhm, no, you can't. The net.so file is compiled for the x86 platform and there is no ARM version available. While it may be possible to compile the server itself without any errors you'll never be able to start it up with a net file.

And indeed, the RPi would not have enough computational power to run any decent server.
