Direct X changes

Different colour names would be cool and would use less space in screen...in my humble opinion... on the other hand it could be useful for teamplay

By the way, i hope names and radar blips can be turned off in spearhead admin (or whatever, lol) to play stealth gamemodes. Or sometimes it could be needed to turn health display off...

yeah, health bars atm are functional, but definitly not fashionable. having it above is a good idea, and changing the health bar would be great. i suggest a simple color coded gradual change, or even just the number. as well as an armor indicator (either on/off or percent)

also something that is not easily discernable from those screenshots (however if you look at my particle engine screenshot) you'll see that we have been able to turn clipping on w/ the overlay....

so.. names and stuff now will be clipped by whatever is between their actor and you.

didnt want to start a new topic so i thought my question was right for this topic. Will there be a directx hacked symbol when people are chatting im sure if u can put a enu and and a cursor in vc im sure u can put a symbol above players heads when there chatting. Just an idea im sure its been brought up before.

hmm not a bad idea but not particularly usefull.. and i mean how many games do you know of that do that (i cant think of one)? this works best for voice chat i think.

here is a very nice idea that this has helped me thing of though :d:

we should be notified when people are paused (hopefully with some icon/symbol on the players nametag). this will prevent us from shooting a guy that is paused, and getting stubbied in the back while we do it :P.

hmm, how about almost all fps games since quake3?

a chat indicator would be very usefull, and the mta team has been bombarded with requests for pause/chat indicators for quite a while.

sheesh, sorry that i have never come accross a game with a TEXT chat indicator :roll:. and my opinion still stands, it is a much better idea to have a pause indicator instead of a text chat indicator (but ofcourse i would not mind both).

here are all of the FPS games that ive played btw, and correct me if im wrong, but none of them feature a text chat indicator; Americas Army, Battlefield series, CoD, CS, Doom 3, MoH:AA, NOLF series, Rainbow6 3: RS, Red Faction, RTCW, UT series, and those are the only ones i can think of ATM. if there are a lot that do though, i apologize to GTA:C|ThE_cHeEsE.
