thedvs01 Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 I just thought this was kind of funny -- I was listening to music just now and on this song 'Mama Can You Hear Me' by Theodore Unit (which is a new rap posse started by Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan)... Well, anyways about mid-song I heard the lines: 'Wild like them Haitians on Vice City/ In Lil' Havana' (You can move this thread to wherever it's the most relevant - or just delete it if nobody cares, which is probably the case)
Slothman Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 interesting, maybe this rapper is a gamer....maybe he's even played mta
thedvs01 Posted August 13, 2004 Author Posted August 13, 2004 Doubt it about playing MTA, but you never know

eAi Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Where is the real Vice City then? I've never heard of it? R* would be a bit stupid to use a real city's name, and its rather an unfortunate name for a city. eAi
Black Dragon Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 R* would be a bit stupid to use a real city's name er... portland?

Si|ent Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 LOL its in miami, never heard of miami vice? That refers to the highly stylised Miami Police Department Vice Squad. Not a suburb of Miami itself.
[KFC]KungFu Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 They do play games and more than likely played this on PS2 Vice City isn't a real place... except to me that is They have made Mortal Kombat, StreetFighter and other Video Game references.. WuTang I mean
Kent747 Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 vice refers to drugs prostitution etc.. there is no city named vice, nor place that I am aware of.
thedvs01 Posted August 13, 2004 Author Posted August 13, 2004 (edited) No Miami Vice is about the cops in the stylized TV depiction of Miami. Vice City also uses this same stylized depiction of Miami and the name 'Vice City' is probably used to make it obvious that it is based on Miami (Notice Lance is also voice by Tubbs as n!ckl said and also 'Crockett's Theme' from the show, which became somewhat of a hit during the 80s, is also featured on the radio in Vice City. Vice is not a nickname for a place in Miami PS - Wu-Tang Forever, bitches Edited August 13, 2004 by Guest
