To get the script everywhere working Oli, I suggest a small funtion:

alias mta.dir !return $nofile($script(mta.mrc))

Then replace all $scriptdir with $mta.dir

You can also credit ur script totally urs...I get n00bs on MSN asking about problems...or i must dl the latest mtama.mrc again...

And dont use my updater w/o noticing me!

yeah apologies for that, couldnt find u on msn and as ure credit was already there i figured u prob wouldnt mind

also, for the dir's i set the mta.mrc dir to a variable and the mtama.mrc dir to another variable so the script can be in a diff dir to the mta.mrc one and still works.

Anyways here is a quick guide to get this working properly for ppl who have probs:

Make SURE that mtama.mrc and mtama.crc are in the SAME dir.

The nickserv.ini and ips.txt and options.ini MUST also be in the same dir as the mtama.mrc script.

Apart from this these file can be in any subfolder of mIRC, but all the files ive mentioned must be in the same folder.

If you have put them all in the same folder and you still get a crc check then reinstall

in answer to a few peoples questions, yes you can use the scripts wizard to add some script text aswell, so u can use things like $mta.name($1,$2) and $mta.kills($1,$2) etc in the script wizard and it will appear corrently in the server.

When i try to use the location script in any guy i always get the same message:

I think there might be a problem with the ping checker/kicker.

On a server that i use quite a bit the !ping command always brings up an average of 0 and this means the ping kicker can't work (i think it works by the average..)

u might also want to check the "unset varibles" button

its very common that the ping/average script gets buggy by showing either no or 0 as average ping, u cant avoid it. Thats why u need to check the "unset varibles" button every now and then

i have a small problem with this script, both the distance script and the location script wont work, when i type !location 0 for example, nothing happens, maybe its because Area is disabled in MTAMA? and if thats the problem does anyone know how to enable it?
