MTA for Xbox

Hello there. I just finished reading the thread, which is now locked, here http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=5315

I just wanted to say a few things. The guy was a fool. He has no idea what he is talking about. I also wanted to clear a few things up. GTA3 and VC, on a modded Xbox of course, CAN run an application such as, Multi Theft Auto. I know from the thread I read that it sounds as if your team is against this idea. I have no experience in C++ or any other coding language excpet VB, HTML, and PHP. Memory handling of applications on the Xbox IS the same as a Windows 2000 machine. Coding of applications is the same as if it were for a Windows 2000 machine, provided you had an Xbox development kit. There are many PC applications which have been ported to the Xbox. That being said, they are archaic games, but the thing with MTA or some other online mod can be installed onto the Xbox, utitilizing its hard drive (where GTA3 or VC is also run from). Once this mod is installed in the GTA dir, you launch the game, and run a Windows application on your computer for finding servers and such.

Now I know saying all this will probably get this forum locked after people reply and some flaming may occur but I just want to make something clear:

It is possible to run a mod for GTA to play online on the Xbox. And you CAN use PC based applications/source on the Xbox, if ported correctly and if there is enough interest for some people to start developing it.

No. I just have nothing else to say. I was hoping (but not expecting) for there to be some interest. Obviously there is not. So I smile as thread gets inevitably locked.

Holy shit! That's amazing! I wish I could do... Wait, I forgot, I've been doing that for about 8 years on my computer...

Have you been talking , as in with voice?

It seems too much work for a game played by so few, shared with an incoherent community base. Besides, you'd get owned with those goofy controllers... :)

As to hindering PC development, I highly doubt that. Take a look at PC vs Console games where the PC version is out first... it takes more than one console to hit a successful PC title's sales. Take CS for example... one of the crappiest, most stale games in existance is still being sold and has thousands of players online. Xbox? You can almost count them on your hands. Sure, this isn't always the case, but today it seems to be the general rule... just because a console has something doesn't mean a PC development will get abandoned. Look at GTA! Didn't that come out on PS2 first? Now nobody could care, they can have it on their PC, ...

.... I think this has gone on long enough, and if it hasnt too bad :)

Editing mta for any console is not only extremly hard (if not impoosible) but not efficiant, for the amount of poeple that would actually use it, Maybe in the entire world.... 7 xbox's would use it or like 2 ps2's its just not plausable... :-D

That might be an exjageration, but its still pointless so im clsoing this.
