Guest
Let me start by saying I've been through this entire thread and have seen people with what looks to be the same problem. I guess I'm just not clear how they fixed it. I will also say that I'm a complete newb when it comes to mIRC, so bear with me. Here's the problem... I can get MTAMA started, I can get a server started, but that's where it ends. I can't connect to the server, this is what I get... * Connecting to 127.0.0.1:2005... (Normal) * Disconnected: Timed out. My software versions are as follows... MTA: 0.4.1 MTAMA: 3.17 mIRC: 6.16 Thanks in advance! Link to comment
Jani
1) you can only admin your server if it is actually running. 2) enable admin+ in the server config file. 3) enable admin+ in MTAMA 4) make sure 2005 actually is your specified admin port. by default, its 4003. 5) try and connect to the server with the mta client. if you cant, your a retard. Au{R}oN
Aeron, when the new version of the punkcatcher exits? Now in my server the hacker they use other programs, and not only Exploit Panel. I think that calls Fag Bot the new program. Help me, thanks Link to comment

EDIT: Just for some closure on the subject, I did get it working. I had specified port 2005 for the admin port, but I changed it back to the default (4003). I think that's what did it for me. SPYFAN
Hi! Just now I got a Virus-Warning in mta.ini. Is this possible?? Link to comment
Jani
LOL WTF??? uh, its probably just an infected file which passed through mIRC and affected most of the files in there. Link to comment
SPYFAN
OK. Virus removed. Next Question. In mirc i see the following: * /if: invalid format (line 205, mtama.mrc) - * /set: line too long (line 1156, mta.mrc) What can i do? Whats wrong with this 2 lines? Link to comment
Oli
ive fixed that 1 line.. i think its to do with the idles kicker.. fixed in next version. The other one is cause MTA:mA is trying to check there r no double signal events on mtama.mrc but cos its such a large script it goes beyong the /set max length in mIRC Link to comment

yield
Sometimes I got the error "Nicklist refresh failed". This causes others scripts to do not work well. When this happens I have to disconect and reconnect MTA:MA so it will refresh with no prob. Very few times it refreshes with sucess without reconnecting. What is the cause of this error? How can I fix/avoid it? It's annoying cause I can't just leave MTA:MA open without checking it status all the time... I think it's something with packets loss but not sure. Thanks in advance. MTA:mA use the ASE info packet, So you have must have 'Enable ASE register' on and need to enter the client port correct (MTA:mA does client-port+123 to get the ASE port, sometimes the post is used then it will fail) I use it to get the player names who's join packet didn't make it (THATS why i need the GETNICK command for admin MTA team ) Link to comment
yield
Thanks for your reply. The server always had register with ASE enable. And yes, I entered the client port correctly (2003). I need to install MTA:ma in a remote server, so I'd like it to be completely stable... Link to comment
