pokepets360 Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 I got FRAPS 1.9D and it keeps slowing down my system.... does anyone else have this problem? its hard to make movies when the damn system is slow and jumpy... and how do I solve this problem?

I think it is because i dont have Intelpentium 4 .I use IntelPentium 3. It sucks i have a fast Harddrive , and more than enought RAM menory but i still get this damn pob. I was wondering if it is because i have 2 harddrives and the one i use for windows is a slower one . and the other with 300 gigabites is were i store all of my games and fraps . So basicly windows runs on the slower one .nad maybe fraps runs there too? Gamefreek Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 It also has to deal with ur Video Card, my friends have a Radeon 9800 Pro and its smooth as can be, so if u get a low fps when recording look and see if u have a good video card, thats usually the problem

Running windows on a slower hard drive will slow down the other one to. Either install Windows onto the faster one or live with the lag.

This is caused by 2 problems: Your computer can't write to the hard drive fast enough. Your computer is to slow to do this. Possible fixes: Set resolution to a lower level Select the option "Half-size" (Fraps 2.0.0) Set recording frame rate lower (20 is good enough)[/i]
