Dgtadude
I have the same problem but i use fraps 2.0.0 . i can record movies but it is like 1 frame per second . I think it is because i dont have Intelpentium 4 .I use IntelPentium 3. It sucks i have a fast Harddrive , and more than enought RAM menory but i still get this damn pob. Link to comment
Alex3305
Look @ your harddisk space and set the framerate between the 20 and 30 fps.. And if it slows down .. Shutdown explorer.exe... Link to comment
Dgtadude
ok see . I got 236 gigabites free . I close the xplorer and it is the same thing . I was wondering if it is because i have 2 harddrives and the one i use for windows is a slower one . and the other with 300 gigabites is were i store all of my games and fraps . So basicly windows runs on the slower one .nad maybe fraps runs there too? Link to comment
Gamefreek
It also has to deal with ur Video Card, my friends have a Radeon 9800 Pro and its smooth as can be, so if u get a low fps when recording look and see if u have a good video card, thats usually the problem Link to comment
pokepets360
how do I find out what my video card is? Link to comment

Running windows on a slower hard drive will slow down the other one to. Either install Windows onto the faster one or live with the lag. Link to comment
Dgtadude
Hey Jack The Smack thanx for the tip . I just installed Windows to the other harddrive and fraps runs so smoth. Thanx Again . Cant belive ive wasted all this time being unable to record anything Link to comment
Chuck
Fraps works like that. You need to do your stunts or whatever and then replay. Record with fraps during the replay. Link to comment

Combine
i have da same problem, when i make movies, then game is verry slow... This is caused by 2 problems: Your computer can't write to the hard drive fast enough. Your computer is to slow to do this. Possible fixes: Set resolution to a lower level Select the option "Half-size" (Fraps 2.0.0) Set recording frame rate lower (20 is good enough)[/i] Link to comment
