SimonS Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 What the hell is this about, I searched and found nothing. The dots say that it's finished...
me Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 The Core 0.31 is the stuff that's the same for both versions (GTA3:MTA and MTA:VC). Rather than showing it like this: MTA:VC 0.3 Memory: .......... Gameplay: .......... Netcode: :::::::::: GUI: :::::::::: GTA3:MTA 0.3.5 Memory: :::::..... Gameplay: ::........ Netcode: :::::::::: GUI: :::::::::: , they just group the netcode and GUI together, since it is pretty much the same for each version
SimonS Posted September 22, 2003 Author Posted September 22, 2003 So it's just the main basics of the MTA engine? I've seen you on an MTA server Havn't I? Jumping out the office window
Xucas Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 so for .3 there wont be netcode changes ? only gamemodes and skins ?
Alex3305 Posted September 22, 2003 Posted September 22, 2003 No it seems not there are any changes.. PM or mail the MTA team maybe you get an anwser..
me Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 So it's just the main basics of the MTA engine?I've seen you on an MTA server Havn't I? Jumping out the office window Hmm, ya, I remember now...
Xucas Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 no i mean skin bug... the one where they are on the same team(career) but have diferent skin (from a diferent team, career)...
me Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 Ya, that bug is because when you join the game, you don't get the info on what skin they have. So they're a random skin, and a yellow dot. When they respawn their skin will be fixed... So when you start the game, just jump in the water and spawn again.
stone-rhino Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 If you need to wait for the other players to respawn to see their skins, what good does killing yourself do?
me Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 If you need to wait for the other players to respawn to see their skins, what good does killing yourself do? then YOU won't be messed up for them
Alex3305 Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 There are bugs in every release a BUG-Free program doesn't exist it is impossible to make but you can minimalize it.. The Player skin bug can be stupid but you can kill yourself (as been suggested) or play with the another skin - Alex3305
True Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 It shoudn't be too hard to implement server caching and on connect reporting of current skins used by characters... i'd think it'd be in a future version, makes sense..
me Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 Ya, True, they probably either just missed it somehow, or they didn't realise what was going on, or it wasn't worth the time it would take to fix...
