MTA Team Blokker_1999 Posted January 1, 2007 MTA Team Share Posted January 1, 2007 I'll check this out later, i guess you are all using Opera. For the moment you could go back to v2 (other greyisch style) or v3 (blue style) in your profile. Link to comment

It happens in Firefox too when I make the window narrower. edit: also, the forum sometimes offsets and goes over the banner (maybe after editing a post): http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/1717 ... setib6.jpg Link to comment

Si|ent
Same here, no horizontal scrollbar when it is needed. Blokker, just open forum in firefox and manually reduce the window width instead of running fullscreen. No matter how narrow you go you get no scrollbar Link to comment
Ransom
I agree with brophy too. The only reason I still stick to V2 is because I don't like the navigation bars whoring half the screen. In my case I don't really need those things constantly present, as this is my last or only stop. Link to comment

CoZ
I dont have any problems in FF tbh You get a horizontal scroll bar? who cares ... your not saying you actually use the scroll bars now do you ? ( i mean since picking up your mouse moving the pointer and actually dragging down on the scrollbar is so much slower than how you could do it) here's a BIG tip despite the fact there is no scrollbar if you shrink the window if you want to scroll just click and hold your middle mouse button (the scroll wheel (yes - i mean push it down like a regular mouse button - try it - u will probably see the cursor changing to a circle with 4 arrows )) and move the mouse right/left/up/down Link to comment

Even by the way you said. Link to comment

Even by the way you said. it does work .. have you even bothered testing it for yourself (ill leave the flaming out but sheesh ... (let me just keep it polite and make you think of the chance a generic 25+ year old might actually know what he's talking about since hes been behind a computer at least a decade longer than you)) even in Internet exploiter this works - but .. i just found out there is one difference in firefox you can click anywhere on the page to get the scroll feature - in IE on this forum somehow it only works if you click utmost top/bottom/left/right of the page .. not on the center (where it does work on other sites) Link to comment
CoZ
2 other bugs/annoyances i've found when part of the forum is loading and you do start to scroll sideways while its still loading it keeps switching you to the left side of the page but what annoys me personally is ,the button "View posts since last visit" is only visible on the index Link to comment
Si|ent
who cares I do, obviously, and I strongly suspect Blokker will too as he takes pride in his work, and it's a pretty big issue when fundamentals such as scrollbars do not work on the site in some browsers. I don't really care much for you attitude in the above posts. The question was not aimed at you and your reply was irrelevant to its purpose. Finding out if all users of firefox are experiencing the same issues. please try and restrain yourself from such aggressively patronising replies in future. Thanks. So. xGj. You get a horizontal scrollbar on here in Firefox? Link to comment

Sorry you feel that way .. i was patronizing the scrollbars!, not the bug, nor the work being done to fix it. im sorry you read it the wrong way have you even bothered testing it for yourself Ofcourse i tested it. at least thats something - you do get it working now i suppose ? i must apologize here, i knew this for fact in IE and in firefox . im pretty sure scrolling with middle mouse is default in about 99% of the programs with a scrollbar somewhere. but i didnt download and install opera, just did a quick google. Sprinter
I got FF and like i said, it don't work. Edit: Here's a screenie so you'll understand. Link to comment
CoZ
we were talking of two different things both have somewhat the same origin in the original problem it was no scrollbar plus text outscreen - where the middle mouse button probably does work as a workaround for the time being in your example a related problem i.e. forced width but with a image. a image cannot be forced over several lines like text so it will be chopped by the fixed width ... in fact the only workaround atm for viewing images that were posted with a width bigger (than the forum rules said) 640xsome size since they changed it this way is by copying the url and paste it in the address bar (or indeed change back v3 or get a nice extention ) Link to comment
