MISTO
If a player is on a train with the glue system, when the train goes into a tunnel, does the player fall or does he go trough the tunnels wall? Link to comment
Manej
Hmm, which tunnels are you talking about? If I remember, many of the train tunnels are already tall enough for people to stand on top of trains. It's in the single player mission Other Side of the Tracks, I think, with the Vagos gang members standing on the train, and CJ driving along side while Big Smoke shoots at them. Link to comment
gooch
maybe its like garry's mod where the connection can be broken if enough force is applied to it Link to comment
Robix
I think this glue is like S0biet hack! You just get insidei n tunel like nocliping. Link to comment
erorr404
Yeah he remains attached and just goes through it. Link to comment
orappa
You could, of course, change that behaviour with scripting. Link to comment
Robix
Hmm interesting but what if i will atach to playne and playne will fly upside down. And i will yake a greanades and i will start to throw them.Where they will fly?Like real grenades (to ground) or they will fly up(scripted traectory) Link to comment
MISTO
And if someone is glued on the top of an heli, will he be lamed? Link to comment
The Beyond
And if someone is glued on the top of an heli, will he be lamed? I guess you can do that also with the Lua scripting... if( $attached_on == "heli" ) { dont_die(); } or something Link to comment
Brophy
or attach yourself higher on the z angle Link to comment
Ravenheart
I don't like the sound of "glue", will be hard to find out who is cheating(sobiet), and who isn't. Also, if a planes flies right next to a person, will he be able to catch it with glue? If yes then thats pretty damn stupid Link to comment
kevuwk
the cheating side of things shouldnt be too hard to sort out Link to comment
erorr404
I don't like the sound of "glue", will be hard to find out who is cheating(sobiet), and who isn't. Also, if a planes flies right next to a person, will he be able to catch it with glue? If yes then thats pretty damn stupid Glue is fully controlled by scripts, it isn't hard-coded into every game-mode. If you think it's stupid, just don't add it to the script. Also, it should be pretty obvious to see whose cheating and who isn't. It's just a matter of knowing what the script that's running is and isn't supposed to do. Link to comment
kevuwk
you can check if a player is meant to be glued, if they arent and you are sure they arent moving then they are obviously cheating Link to comment
Guest
I'd like to know if glue can be used to e.g. attach someone's screen (camera) to a vehicle. Another thing: Is it possible to put players in "spectator mode"? Link to comment
