MISTO Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 If a player is on a train with the glue system, when the train goes into a tunnel, does the player fall or does he go trough the tunnels wall? just wait and see
Manej Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Hmm, which tunnels are you talking about? If I remember, many of the train tunnels are already tall enough for people to stand on top of trains. It's in the single player mission Other Side of the Tracks, I think, with the Vagos gang members standing on the train, and CJ driving along side while Big Smoke shoots at them.
gooch Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 maybe its like garry's mod where the connection can be broken if enough force is applied to it
Robix Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 I think this glue is like S0biet hack! You just get insidei n tunel like nocliping. Look it''''''''s mta dm in gmod!
erorr404 Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Yeah he remains attached and just goes through it.
orappa Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 You could, of course, change that behaviour with scripting. MTA:SA FAQ - Read this before asking questions. MTA:SA Troubleshooting - Read this first if you have problems.
Robix Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Hmm interesting but what if i will atach to playne and playne will fly upside down. And i will yake a greanades and i will start to throw them.Where they will fly?Like real grenades (to ground) or they will fly up(scripted traectory) Look it''''''''s mta dm in gmod!
MISTO Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 And if someone is glued on the top of an heli, will he be lamed? just wait and see
The Beyond Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 And if someone is glued on the top of an heli, will he be lamed? I guess you can do that also with the Lua scripting... if( $attached_on == "heli" ) { dont_die(); } or something
Ravenheart Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 I don't like the sound of "glue", will be hard to find out who is cheating(sobiet), and who isn't. Also, if a planes flies right next to a person, will he be able to catch it with glue? If yes then thats pretty damn stupid Black Dragon: ...you can quote me on this one. kevuwk Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 the cheating side of things shouldnt be too hard to sort out Kevuwk Any comments made are purely my own and do not represent the interests of the MTA Team
erorr404 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I don't like the sound of "glue", will be hard to find out who is cheating(sobiet), and who isn't. Also, if a planes flies right next to a person, will he be able to catch it with glue? If yes then thats pretty damn stupid Glue is fully controlled by scripts, it isn't hard-coded into every game-mode. If you think it's stupid, just don't add it to the script. Also, it should be pretty obvious to see whose cheating and who isn't. It's just a matter of knowing what the script that's running is and isn't supposed to do.
kevuwk Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 you can check if a player is meant to be glued, if they arent and you are sure they arent moving then they are obviously cheating Kevuwk Any comments made are purely my own and do not represent the interests of the MTA Team
Guest Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I'd like to know if glue can be used to e.g. attach someone's screen (camera) to a vehicle. Another thing: Is it possible to put players in "spectator mode"?
