Gamefreek
No it wont support gta1 or 2. It will only support VC and SA, maybe GTA3 if the demand is high enough. Link to comment
zerb
GTA2 Multiplayer has been out for ages Link to comment

njr1489
No one plays that now that GTA 3, VC, and SA are online. Link to comment
PoisoN2003
yes but there are diffrent type of games out there even though there are 3d graphics sometimes its fun to go back and play the classics thats why there are roms 2d games if no one played them then they wouldnt be found anywhere and i played vice city and gta 3 online but i enjoy old games too sometimes its good to take a break from the new games Link to comment
Noobster
I wonder why it's hard to make multiplayer work for the GTA 3 engine...? After all it's just one more dimension (X,Y,Z). Also considering we have much better internet connections today, the extra dimension cant add SO much more trouble can it?? I could play 4 player multi on GTA 2 without any lag whatsoever, everything was perfectly synced too. WELL IM NO REAL PROGRAMMER OR WHATEVER SO DONT SUE ME.... Link to comment
Gamefreek
They could make BLUE work with GTA3 but the demand isnt that great for it due to the fact that GTA:LC is getting better with each release. Link to comment

I didnt mean that... i ment the GTA3 engine in general....GTA 3, GTA VC and SA are built on the same engine Link to comment
orappa
Pedestrians and traffic weren't synced in GTA 1 and 2. Also Blue has significantly less lag than the old core that powers MTA 0.5. Link to comment
Jigga
Erm.. i believe that in GTA and GTA2 the traffic and peds where synced... gotta check that 1 out Link to comment
Toreno
would be pointless anyway to try to RECREATE multiplayer for GTA1 and GTA2. would take a lot of time though. Link to comment
zerb
I would think maybe bordom would come quite quickly. Link to comment

Si|ent
In GTA they arent, as we played it quite a bit on LAN. As for GTA2 I can't comment as I uninstalled that steaming pile shortly after installing it Link to comment
DominionSpy
Cars and peds are synchronised in GTA2 Multiplayer. I've played it a lot on LAN. Link to comment
Slothman
which explains why it iwas such choppy and poor multiplayer experience. Link to comment
DominionSpy
which explains why it iwas such choppy and poor multiplayer experience. Take that back Seriously though, it's what got me into GTA in the first place. Link to comment
Slothman
but its true. gta2 lacked that arcade feel that made gta1 so great. it felt like the good ole days when we played gta1. gta2 had nothing but graphics Link to comment
erorr404
I feel the same way about GTA3 vs VC and especially SA - they lack the feel of the original. edit: btw, anyone know if there is a free download for the original GTA? Link to comment
Slothman
if you are talking legal downloads (which i know you are!) then you must get them straight from rockstar. meaning you have to sign up for their list and also keep rying to get through still free though Link to comment
orappa
They're available from http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/ Link to comment
erorr404
I found the link after some googling, thanks Jon. Sloth, all I had to do was fill in a couple of fields and it sent me straight to the download link. Link to comment
