Guest
Hi! Can you tell me which tool are you using for recording movies in GTA:SA? I mean the movies on the main page (Racing modus). Hopefully not Fraps and the Game was set to 640x480. Sorry for my bad english! I´m from Germany. Link to comment
orappa
www.fraps.com Who said they used Fraps? Edited August 19, 2005 by Guest Link to comment
Leviathan
Hopefully not Fraps and the Game was set to 640x480. Fraps is used a lot. why not? and ofcourse the game has been set to 640x480, it reduces the file size so even people with slow internet can view it... Link to comment
Guest
www.fraps.com Who said they used Fraps? Exactly! I want to know what their used and not what you use for your videos. You can resize the video after you record it, too. Link to comment
njr1489
www.fraps.com Who said they used Fraps? What else would they use? Gamecam maybe. Link to comment
Toreno
gamecam might not work with MTASA, because of the separate launcher. Link to comment
njr1489
Then obviously they must have used fraps. Link to comment
orappa
They probably did... I'm just saying that you don't know for certain. Link to comment
Leviathan
samurai and some other persons have helped with the movie. and didn't they use fraps as standard recorder? so it has to be fraps. Link to comment
Gamefreek
Fraps is the most used program for recording, yet if you have a low end pc use gamecam. Link to comment
eAi
We use Fraps for all our video recording. Link to comment
Bloodymess13
we used Fraps to record and Samurai_Ohk used Sony Vegas and Virtual Dub for all the post recording stuff. Link to comment
Guest
Thank you! But I didn´t like Fraps. The output file size is very big. Which codec you use to reduce it? Divx? Link to comment
orappa
WMV compression I'd presume, as it was a WMV file. Edited August 19, 2005 by Guest Link to comment
Oli
Hopefully not Fraps and the Game was set to 640x480. Leviathan
and did you record it as half the size or something? I have 1280x1024 too and it was half of it I thought, hmm I'll check the movie agian. And the output files are uncomprimized files it's normal they are so big, all the files you watch are already comprimized so nothing strange about the huge file. I have free disk space enoegh so I haven't got problems. I got 320 gigabyte left. Link to comment
Samurai_Ohk
Yup, the latest fraps to record i assume, and then i convert those avi files (with sound) to 3vix so they can be applied to Vegas. I edit and put a custom rendering setting of my own with WMV For LQ version, i usually render with AVI and let Vdub work its magic Link to comment
Leviathan
A friend gave me allso Vdub and Fraps and somethimes I make some stunt movies with it. Link to comment
Jani
I capture with Fraps 2.5.1, edit with Adobie Premier Pro and compress with the Divx codec. Link to comment
Guest
I had a new Question: In Fraps you can change in the "movie" dialog between half-size and full-size. What you are using while record? And had you record it with 25fps? Link to comment
