I do think it is the reason, because camhack SAYS it cannot detect San Andreas running. If it can't detect San Andreas, then it cannot even get a chance to reach MTA's anti cheat. Also, no warez talk. If it disables anti-cheat, then it is a preparation tool for a cheating device, and therefore is warez. also listen to Azer because it is a hack.

There's no way to monitor the community's size, but I do know that its still there, its just playing SAMP. So as soon as MTA Deathmatch is released the MTA fans will move from SAMP back to MTA. Even after GTA4 is released, because not everyone will be able to run/afford GTA4, but thats another thread, another day.

The reason behind the lack of updates (busy making a mod) is a good reason in my opinion So, when you get what you want, then you'll support them? Shouldn't you support them now, when they need it most? When they need it most? Where were they, when their dedicated fan base needed them most? When we desperately wanted them to release it? I keep getting told all these things, how it's going to be so great, how if I wait and see, it'll blow me away, etc etc. So when it comes out, I'm GOING to give my support; The wimpy plan (I will pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today) doesn't really fly with me, especially when it's "I will pay you two years or later from now for a hamburger today. Not to mention; that updates on progress are far and few between, and the picture of the day is more like the picture of the week ... Plus, of course the Q/A team aren't complaining about it; or have such a negative view about it, at least they can get their hands on it, while they test it! Well I believe that the mod team needs more support than the community (again its an opinion thing), since the community is large enough and has more options (they can go play another game for awhile if they want) that it can support itself. CamHack is not a cheating device. The reason CamHack doesn't work with MTA is not because of MTA's anti-cheat. CamHack cannot detect San Andreas running when playing MTA, most likely because MTA changes the San Andreas window title to "MTA: San Andreas" from the original "San Andreas" window title. CamHack expects the original window title.

Its not surprising considering all the criticism the iPhone has received for things such as its current high retail price and the fact that people are going crazy over it trying to get one (some even see it as a "fad" kindof thing). The fact is, the iPhone is receiving the same criticisms any new "high-tec" gadget receives when its first released. Critics usually focus on simple tasks its not capable of doing, or how its "features" are highlighted greater than its original purpose (in this case, its a phone)

I used CamHack so I could disable motion blur in Single Player, but I couldn't get it to work for MTA:SA.

Actually, having a modified GTA would cause a different prompt to appear that says "Initialization failed!" or something like that The reason you are getting this prompt Tycho is because MTA suspects there is some kindof "hacking" program running. But usually its just a process name, or a window title name, with a "hacking" word in it. So open up task manager, and look for any programs with the words "admin" or "console" or "trainer" or (of course) "hack". Anything like those words may cause your GTA to suspect trainer usage. Sometimes instant messengers such as MSN messenger can trigger the "trainer usage" prompt

I'm guessing that the MTA team has a set of "vanilla" scripts that people can use. (and thats probably what majority of servers will use for the first 2 weeks). The MTA team probably won't release a pack of "community edition" scripts since they have the MTA centre.

This thread is strange, when I click on it I get a 500 Error from the server. btw, I used a gamepad for driving and flying and I use the mouse and keyboard for DMing (in MTA 0.5 of course).

That's why you should never hack at all. Some people believe "once a hacker, always a hacker". Although this isn't true, you should still not hack because it isn't fair to others and gives you a bad name.
