  1. i hope to see car jacking animation too, instead of the guy just 'appeaing' next to a car, or on top of a dodo. i would also like to see dying animations fixed. most of the time when you kill someone, they are standing still, and not falling to the ground and laying there.
  2. i think there should be AI that can fight instead of just peds. i dont see the point to synched pedestrians. but AI like bodygaurds or gangsters that follow you around in SP, would open up a whole new realm of mods if implemented in BLUE. think about this.. there can be coop missions in which you and your human team try to take out all of the AI while shoot back and defend themselves, or you can have AI bodygaurds, the possibilities are endless... o, and i dont think that bandwith will be a problem... only 4 AI would be great. it will probably be very tough though, to program the AI to follow you, defend you, or attack you. have the devs ever given a definative NO to AI? or does the possibility still exist?
  3. about the original post, i think players should definately survive when jumping out of a helicopter, just as you do in single player. i mean after all, the devs are trying to make the mod be identical to SP, only without the ai. so i think that when passngers jump out of a heli, the same thing should happen to them as does happen when you jump out while flying it in SP. also, i like the ropes idea Luigi posted. it would be really cool to be able to slide down certain heli's like SWAT teams.
  4. i feel so dumb... i have just realized that the sailor carries the M4.. i always thought that it was an M16 anyway, there IS a difference between the two. the M4 has automatic fire, while the M16 fires its shots in bursts of 3. i would guess that the guns are very similar in other aspects though since the M4 is based off of the M16. so i actually would agree.. we do not need the M16 in the game because it doesnt have auto fire, which makes it less lethal. incorrect. the M16 is the weapon used by the US marines and the US army, while the M4 is used only by certain special forces. the M16 was created in the 60s or 70s. a short time ago, a weapon called the M4 was created, based off the M16 (hence the resemblance). the M4 has automatic fire, the M16 does not. i dont know which weapon is more 'powerful,' but they both can hold the M203 grenade launcher as well as other mods. i think the M4 is more customizable though.
  5. other online games do not crash though. with 0.4.1 VC there are times when you crash every single time you spawn, and with GTA3 you crash often and very randomly. hopefully BLUE will crash much less . i think that all of your stats should be kept as long as you are in the client. at least with the next few versions released on the current core.

Also , i still dont see the need for a taxi , an AI controlled taxi would be cool /taxi airport An AI taxi would come and pick you up , just like in SP when you fail a mission VERY cool idea . maybe this should be expanded a bit further, like you get to choose your location. because how would it know where you need to go? the location chooser should be similar to the race location chooser at the auto shop when you own it (you walk into a pink marker see a map of the city, where you use the arrow keys to choose which race you want - races are highlighted in red). you should be able to choose from several locations on the map, equally spaced apart. once you tell the taxi where you need to go, it starts traveling at a speed twice as fast as it does in single player. how does the AI overcome obstacles? exactly as the MAD drivers do in single player.. if a car is in the way, they swerve around it. if a guy is in the way, they run him over. but then again this might be a stupid idea since you would always get to your location faster if you just sprinted to the nearest car and drove there. damn i just wasted 5 minutes typing .
  8. i still dont see what fun people will have when they ride in your taxi, or ambulance, or be pizza catchers... you will have fun doing it, but they wont have fun waiting for you. but i THINK i may have understood it wrong. do you mean, that in a regular deatmatch/free-for-all, people are able to extinguish fires in the firetruck, heal people that go into the ambulance and that catch your pizzas, and take a ride in your taxi (riding in taxis is possible in the current version and lots of people drive people around, asking who needs a pick-up)? and you will make money for it? then it is an interesting idea.. i would like to be able to get health from ambulances, etc. but if you mean a game mode revolved around doing this and only this, i think it will not be so fun for the patients/taxi-riders/etc. i was kind of/sort of hoping for an answer about whether or not it will work in BLUE . it isnt mine either, and i speak/write it even better than my native language. btw Warrior, if you really are from Russia, do all of you guys go to internet cafe's or do you have GTA-capable computers at home?
  9. i think that SOCOM has more than that, but i am not sure as i havent played it in a while. also keep in mind that the vast majority of BFV players have internet access, while the vast majority of PS2 owners do not. yes, and i think everyone agrees.

LOL, thanks for the entertainment . anyway, im glad that firetruck is mentioned, since we didnt hear that the hose would work from the devs, we only heard confirmation that Apache missiles and gun will work, and that tank cannon will work (i think). and i guess that would you said should be possible through an add-on, but who exactly will be the patients/taxi customers/pizza catchers that you will pickup in your ambulances, taxis, etc? i think it would be very boring for those people. and yes, it should be possible to work out stuff on the radar in an add-on.

Alt-tab is one way of actually getting out of a crash, so I think it'd be best if they kept it in. not only that but, GTA is not a very intense game. you can go to some remote area of the map (which is anywhere where there are no fights), and stand there for as long as you want without being attacked. this is not Unreal Tournament ya know .

  14. sure, there may be more PC users than console users, but how many of those PC users are gamers? and how many of them even have an up to date computer that can run games? ive always thought that there were more console gamers than PC gamers, do you have numbers to back up your claim? i mean, i have this one online game for PS2... SOCOM, and there are thousands upon thousands of players online at any moment. no PC game can match that except maybe CS. so i think that there is a huge market for console games..
  15. alt tabbing should definately be allowed. perhaps the same thing should happen to the player when he is minimzed as when he is in a menu, but instead of the game rendering everything on the screen for him, it should not render anything, and the player should just appear as standing still to everyone in the server, just as he would if he brought up a menu. so basically what i am saying is that he should be standing in one place, while he is killable, when he is in the menu or when he is minimzed. just if he is minimzed, the game doesnt render anything, like it would when it is open and he is in the menu.
  16. do you mean that we can remove pausing via add-ons, or that you guys have removed it from BLUE yourselves? if pressing ESC will bring up the menu, and NOT pause you, that would be great .
  17. hmm not a bad idea but not particularly usefull.. and i mean how many games do you know of that do that (i cant think of one)? this works best for voice chat i think. here is a very nice idea that this has helped me thing of though we should be notified when people are paused (hopefully with some icon/symbol on the players nametag). this will prevent us from shooting a guy that is paused, and getting stubbied in the back while we do it .

  19. im working on a PCJ stunts vid.. well not right now, i stopped like a month ago, but i started it like 3 months ago.. well the reason i stopped (for now) is because none of my stunts can match stunt videos that are being released here. my best spins are only 1400-1500 degrees, and i am not good with rails yet.. i can occasionaly do the mall one and hotel one on the first island, but thats about it . i mean i have seen people do crazy ass spins AND land it on a rail AND do a full grind on it.
  20. ive heard rumors that GTA:SA was already made for PC first, and THEN was planned to be ported to PS2, THEN they would release the PC version. this is most likely BS but i hope its true . btw, there is a noticable improvement in graphics on the PC version over PS2 in III and VC, and GTA:VC was not that far behind other games when it was released. GTA3 had damn good graphics when it came out though. VC and SA do not look so good because they use the same basic engine engine as III, which is a few years old now (except more optimised ofcourse).
  21. this is good to hear. i was very worried that we would have to play on user-made mods only. you can only garauntee good quality from mods made by the dev team. these official mods should set the 'standard.' i think you guys should include some simple game modes like DM, TeamDM, CTF, and possibly some more complex ones that demonstrate the abilities of modding in BLUE (game modes using particle effects, etc).
