  1. Happened again about an hour ago.
  2. You have absolutely NO idea how coding works, do you? Have you ever tried to create a mod by directly accessing and modifying memory?
  3. 1. That's lag/warping... you have to aim a bit ahead of where the person is going to actually hit them. Shooting from the ground is an animation problem... your GTA:VC sees him on the ground, but on his GTA:VC he's standing up shooting at you. 2. Not really sure... depends on who you ask 3. no clue, since SOMEONE won't give me the beta j/k 4. no comment 5. Probably both... I'm not sure how compression works exactly, but both server and client would have to be compressing/decompressing the data.

    I need help!

*sigh*... you need to download MTA:VC from the mtavc.com site, and you need GTA:VC for the PC. You'll also need the All Seeing Eye, which you can get at http://www.udpsoft.com/eye Read the FAQ, the First time user's guide: http://www.mtavc.com/sbs.php, and search the forums. Please, next time, think before posting, and remember to search, check the FAQ, and read the first time user guide. Thread Closed

    MTA:VC

methinks that the radar should work like this for manhunt: once the hunter gets to within a certain distance of the hunted, the hunted dissapears from the hunter's radar.
  6. The only way I know of to get money in MTA is to knock down parking meters downtown. I'm almost certain that this is just a thing that was overlooked by the MTA Team.
  7. sorry, I meant if they ported MTA to the Xbox... I already know they're porting GTA3 and GTA:VC
  8. http://www.mtavc.com -> Downloads -> Releases -> MTA:VC -> Server Config Tool 0.2.4
  9. Thread Closed There won't be any release dates, and there'll be a big post on the front page when it's out, so you'll know
  10. hmm... I thought 0.1 didn't edit the main.scm. bah
  11. no, if you want to play MTA:VC (any future version, unless they port it to Xbox (which is VERY VERY unlikely), you'll need the PC version
  12. or hit enter a bunch of times. you may have simply selected the wrong GTA:VC version... you can set it at the top right of the MTA:VC window.
  13. you need vice city for the PC... so if all you have is the PS2 version, then no, you can't play MTA:VC
  14. The bots in PD kicked ass... Some of the MP maps were awesome... ie: best I've ever played. The server would probably have to send the info of what cars there are, since some people might label their servers Chopper server!, and then the map is full of Angels and Freerides That, and it would help people know where the cars are.

    custom cars...

it's np oh, ya, and this should probably be in general, since it doesn't have anything to do with MTA:VC Thread Moved

    custom cars...

I'm not too knowledgeable about this, so I suggest going to gtaforums.com check out these 2 posts: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?act= ... 0f8327b36c http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?act= ... 0f8327b36c if you need to find a tool/help, remember to use google first, and remember to search their forums as well. as a _final_ resort, post a new topic
  17. oops... got confused, mixed up .img and .txd... Ya, it shouldn't crash it.
  18. that happens to me a lot too... using a different video card seemed to fix it, but I dunno... Maybe something to do with sound drivers/hardware.

    Only 10% left...

aren't they releasing MTA:VC and GTA3:MTA as one though?
  20. no, there won't be. the problem with that is that person A might say that person B is a cheater, because person A sucks, and is bitter, and person B is good... It'd be hard to stop people from abusing that feature.
  21. one day you'll get those URLs right IJs... one day. that, or you'll remember to upload it... http://www.mtavc.com/images/mtamaps.png
  22. I got this idea from Perfect Dark for the N64 (great game). Each map had 5-10 different TYPES of guns... so in multiplayer, you could change the options so that all the guns were alien guns, or so that they were pistols, or so that they were all grenades (that just got stupid... pinball bounce was insane. you throw the grenade, and it goes bouncing around the map like crazy), or just make a mix of everything... etc. It really, really added to the replayability. When the developers built the maps, (I'm guessing that) instead of placing down wp_grenade, and wp_farsight, they'd place down wp_1, wp_2, etc. Something like this in MTA would be awesome, except that you edit the different cars instead of the different guns... fill the city with choppers, or fill the city with PCJs, make it a big mix... it'd be REALLY useful for stunt/race servers, as well as gang matches/tourneys. In the config tool, you'd just take the VC map, place all the locations where cars are as little red dots, and let people select what kind of car to place at that dot. Something like this (map by raiden) Best. Feature. Ever.
