  1. After our R1.1 dedicated server releases yesterday, it's time for our final MTA:SA R1.1 client release! Quite some work has been spent into this new major R1.1 release the last few months after our initial R1.0 version. As you may have read on the blog we have changed several things, fixed some bugs and added a bunch of features to this new MTA:SA release. We've made a short list of R1.1 changes: - New mappack - New map nomination voting system - Respawning during map - Map timelimit added in map files and server config - New player animation sync - Admins can PM players from remote admin - The 255 map limit has been fixed - Fixed various admin stability issues And that's just a few of the changes we've made. MTA:SA R1.1 will be exclusively released on IGN Entertainment's FilePlanet.com, the first 24 hours after the initial release. This means you can download the fresh new release from FilePlanet.com right away. Get me the download! Head over to the MTA:SA R1.1 download page on FilePlanet.com! And for any general (MTA related) talk, be sure to join our #mta IRC channel on irc.multitheftauto.com to chat with other people or developers in the MTA community. EDIT: Additional info! One of our users, ′rats′, has helped locate the problem causing nothing to happen after the splash screen. To fix this issue: download the mta_sa_r11_fix.zip file and put the Client.dll in your mods/race folder. You do not need to download this file unless you are having this problem - nothing else is changed. Sorry for the trouble this has caused a few people.
  2. For all the people that have downloaded our Linux dedicated server v1.10 binaries: we highly recommend to re-download the Linux server binaries. The newly uploaded Linux server binaries include a fix to a flaw that was found right after the initial release of the Linux server. The new server binaries can be found at our MTA:SA R1.1 download page. The MTA:SA R1.1 Client release As far as our brand new MTA:SA R1.1 client is concerned, we can tell you that we are very close to it′s release.   6. We've just released the server for race 1.1. You will not be able to play Race 1.1 till we release the client, tomorrow. We release the server before the client to give server providers time to get ready for the release - otherwise when we release the client you won't have any servers to play on! Here is a list of changes in Race 1.1, we've also fixed some crashes and minor bugs: - Added: Automatic server browser refresh on open - Added: New map nomination voting system - Added: Respawning during map - Added: GTA 1.0 EU/US version check - Added: Vehicle special-state sync - Added: Map timelimit added in map files and server config - Added: Player animation sync - Added: Admins can PM players from remote admin - Added: Pings in the admin client - Fixed: Vehiclecolors.conf file not properly formatted - Fixed: Hydra fire rate increased back to default - Fixed: Invalid rotation error in some maps made by the map editor - Fixed: RCON say does not work if admin server is disabled - Fixed: Client says you've timed out if you connect to a server that already has a player with your nick - Fixed: Server 255 maps limit - Fixed: Admin client stability fixes You can download the server from http://light.mtavc.com/. Please remember that pestering us to release the client won't make it happen any faster. Any comments doing this will be deleted, wasting our time that could be spent actually releasing it.

  10. MTA: Race 1.1 Beta 1 got released to our QA team yesterday. It had a few weird bugs with the "respawning on last checkpoint" feature, but those were fixed today. The voting nomination also has a bug I need to fix. Other than that it seems to work well, meaning you can expect a new release of Race pretty soon . Things are also progressing pretty well on the Deathmatch front. You can expect some amazing news from there soon too .

  14. Maybe you've been using xfire while running mta? On certain systems it does crash mtavc (like on mine, for example). Disabling it before launching mta fixes it.
