[TUT] How to get MTASA server working on Debian 5.0 64 bit
Phat Looser replied to MaddDogg's topic in Linux-Server
For 1.1 it seems you will need http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... _amd64.deb, too. I'm testing it atm. About those who don't have a /emul/ia32-linux/usr (or lib) folder: You can either softlink your own lib32 to it (which is what most linux users would do, for the sake of allmighty linux order), or you can copy the stuff into /usr and /lib32 if you already chose to make them your own folder. Or if your distribution wants it to be that way. Edit: Ok, fuck, beat me to a pulp, amd64, what was I thinking. http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb and, for those with a minimal installation http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... .1_all.deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb -
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... .1_all.deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... 1_i386.deb

its the security diod which short-circuits as soon as you put the power on the wrong way round. I replaced it with a 10 ampere one, which may be bigger but is also less troublesome for me.

if its just library errors, those are kinda boring
-
...and better remove all the calls for that resource.
-
It was compiled, actually. I just wonder whats getting compiled today.

Jasper was nice enough to add a wikipedia: http://mtaroleplay.wikia.com/wiki/MTA-Roleplay_Wiki

I wanted to know if a Linux MTA 1.1 Server is working on Debian 64 bit, since I want to host a nightly.
-
Or simply host your server in a server cloud. The clouds are pretty much protected, and mine doesn't only have a "simple" DDoS protection but also 91 Gbit of interweb speeds. The cloud I host at, that is. Not the cloud I own or something.

Whatever that website is, I won't visit it.

Do you think informing the police would do something then? After all, in most civilized countries he would go to jail for 2 or more years (in Germany its 3 years, Computersabotage § 303b Abs. 1 StGB). And you should have the IP.

I added some artifical enemies to the freeroam - maybe I'll put the planned gamemode I've always wanted to add in use.

It was 3 years ago, that I bought a Laptop for about 1200€. Its not good, but its still, well, kicking? First thing that happened is that due to me dragging that piece everywhere, parts of it started breaking. Nothing you can't fix with some glue. So I did that. The next thing is that I washed the keys of my keyboard - well, and was too stupid to sort them in the right way again. The third thing is that something on the mainboard overheated. I exchanged it. After that the small part where you insert the 14 V plug broke. Nothing you can't fix with some Copper and some soldering. The next year, nothing happened - except that the batteries broke - and yesterday, the soldering I made started to break and had a short circuit. So I repaired it again: This time I messed up and soldered a short-circuit myself. Well, tearing it apart again and repairing it again. After that, I managed to be idiot enough to NOT press the "on" button strong enough (its taking some force by now), and thought the 12V power supply was the wrong way round. (I was very, very tired while fixing it) Well, changing plus and minus resulted in an orange flash and some smoke. Weirdly enough, putting stuff the right way sort of fixed the problem. Whatever did the orange flash, it seems to be still working. I suppose its sort of a "short circuit diod" which should absorb the energy when short circuiting it.... I dunno, something maybe. Now I'm sitting here, tired and happy, posting with exactly that Zombie Laptop. Good night.

I don't think that the player count has such an impact. Also he seems to be new at scripting.

I am talking about using that RAM the whole time.
-
Let me guess, you OPENED that topic like I opened a topic about my anti-s0beit back then.
-
Expect about 300 MB RAM per server.

Gta-multi.com, Quality MTA San Andreas Hosting.

And thats why I don't want to be an official MTA server host. Inofficial is fine, too. And much more elegant. -
And a freeroam was added for the lulz! Its totally chaotic. Maybe a TDMA server, too?

Another interesting method is to script object-oriented. Since thieves can't understand it I'm pretty sure they will fail at using it. Example is my anticheat which was stolen but failed completely. It simply killed everybody who joined.

Client side / Server side issue. That means you create your stuff client side. You bad.
-
Its not more complicated, its object oriented. This way modifying the objects or adding objects is done in a second. I.e. when you want to change the position of the clock, you just look which function creates the clock: and you can see xpos, ypos etc. I have to fix "width" and "height", since you didn't script it all in one fashion but used different code for different objects. Also, if you want to add a "drown bar" oxygen or something like that, it would be just another object (and another function). The big, big plus of this code is that ALL elements are rendered / computed / working THE SAME WAY. Add a Class, and an Object, add the function. (Btw: the class contain the function "pointers", the objects contain the data. In other words: The class defines the functions used. This can be done much more "object oriented", but I actually want it the aspect oriented way so that you can change the functions any time.)

[10:49:22] ERROR: C:/lua5_1_4_Win32_bin/account.lua:72: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'perv' (a boolean value) Since when does a Linux server have: 1) a drive C 2) a folder "/lua5_1_4_Win32_bin" How to interpret this error?

Yes. Get a modem, open a server. Done.
