Posty: This is all really beside the point. Whether you weren't offended and just simply asking for clarification, you're still a beta tester and I named you because ironically, you were the first to mention it. However, my post wasn't specifically directed at you.
-
I was never offended by the reply. I simply asked a question as to why it was said like that, and I got a great answer back, BY A TEAM MEMBER. I thanked him and told him that it was clear as to what the intention was. At no point did I say I was offended by it, I was just basically pushing for clarification. My reply to the interview was not meant to be a flame towards MTA, as I had said. Cray took it in the correct form that my post was meant, and he replied as so. Other people decided to put words into my mouth, kind of like what you're doing. I'm not here to argue, I'm here to comment on things and post when I feel I should. Whether or not you were offended is irrelevant... you are a beta tester of SA-MP and asked for clarification in their defense. That's fine, though. My post was directed more towards him selfe who has been trolling in some of the threads on this board lately.

Maybe SA-MP supporters would be more appropiate, then. The only people I see that are offended in this thread are you, Posty, and kyeman. I honestly see nothing wrong with that portion of the interview. How is it taking a jab at VC-MP/SA-MP or related mods (GTA: Rumble and GTA: Tournament)? As JonChappell said earlier, it was directed towards projects that are started and die out in a month or two without ever releasing anything, and as you well know, there have been dozens of them within the past year or so that have done just that. I don't see what else could possibly be implied. I don't think that's the problem here, though. I'm seeing way too many SA-MP supporters in particular jump at every opportunity they can to flame MTA, especially on this website. And don't tell me it's not related to SA-MP, because it is. I see no one else in this thread going on about how that quote was so wrong other than beta testers and developers of that mod. We don't go on your website and bash your project for all it's worth, so why don't you return the favor?

Both are correct... http://centre.mtavc.com and http://center.mtavc.com point to the same place too.

It should work fine with around 8-10 players, preferably 6-8. Make sure you have over 40 kbps at least, though...
-
With 32 players, it's going to be laggy. To be honest, your computer specifications aren't that great, so you just have to expect that. I recommend playing in servers with under 20 players (preferably 16). That's best for most maps, anyway.
-
I didn't realise you were doing some of the coding now. I'm not. I'm part of the QA team and we work together with the developers to make suggestions and solve issues. Like I said, you can always intiate a vote to start the map over. I doubt you'd be stuck in spectator mode for very long if you ever happened to die, unless the server is huge and the majority of people are still alive.
-
The point of this mod is to play short user-created game modes, not specfically something as complex as freeroam, which is just something extra that's possible to make. I suppose that lack of respawn wouldn't be the only issue with it, either. There will probably be r1.x releases containing a few new features and some minor bugs we didn't have time to fix during the beta testing stage. We could certainly look into this... Note that there is a voting system in place, and if the majority of the server is dead, someone can always initiate a vote to start the map over.

Removed AA, CE, FKU, NS, TF, and TFS as I'm sure they're not around anymore. That should free up some space. NeDizZ: I've never heard of LDK before (I guess it's new). Your website provides no information about the clan that I can read. RazoR: Do you want the multistory parking lot now that I've taken TF off from the list (unless they reclaim it first)? Yes, they were a clan before your time, but I don't know what happened to them. I haven't updated these maps in a while because I hardly see the significance of them now. I don't think many people play the game at all anymore and subsequently gang wars are probably very rare these days. I'm sure 0.5 will have completely died out with the arrival of San Andreas multiplayer mods. Oh well.

Don't worry, b11 is huge... they've been making a lot of progress. =) You'll hear about it soon.

I don't remember saying that, but most of the obvious glitches were fixed (the stubby's weapon settings and the crusader armor bug, for example). There was also a class system similiar to GTA3: MTA in place, but it needed a lot of work. Purchasing weapons from AmmuNation had not been implemented, most of the weapons were still unbalanced, a huge desync problem was present (as Oli said), and I'm certain they weren't planning on fixing this, but 0.5.5 was just as laggy as its predecessor due to the same method of packet encryption, which was broken months ago anyhow. This was also around the time most of the team shifted over to the Blue core, leaving hardly anyone to continue the work of 0.5.5. With MrBump and trx are gone, I'm guessing that leaves no one now. Personally, I think if the team would just release 0.3 under the name of 0.5.5 (or even 0.6), MTA: VC would be a lot better off than it is at the moment. But it's more likely that a new release under the old core just isn't going to happen, so these requests are really going nowhere. Roll on Blue.

I beg to differ.

I thought VCES>StaR was his sister.

Weed is a drug, just like caffeine or alcohol. And I suppose smoking it just to get 'high' doesn't count as using it for medicinal purposes.

Most retail distributors won't sell any titles with the AO rating. Just like films try to make "R" instead of "X." Only 18 other games have ever made AO (and most were related to pornography)...

They won't do anything other than remove everything referenced to the Hot Coffee Mod to make ESRB happy. No matter what they do, they can't stop people from modding the game at all.

Everybody is referring to the time when we were active, of course. But we don't play 0.5 and we never will, sorry.

Petition for littlewhitey to show pic so robpol86 does
Zircon replied to Ransom's topic in B.L.A.S.T.
People, I already have Robpol86's picture. -
I don't have to post my picture here. Someone else will.

/me looks in #ulk Hm... 12 people.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory why we played quite regularly up until 0.5. Oh, and they picked a ULK... me. They even picked Brophy (VCES) and Quig (FKU). They've picked plenty of skilled players they can trust. It's not our fault 0.5.5 never released.
-
Gamefreek: What other time would they release it? It most certainly wouldn't be now. njr1489: It's more than just a few fixes. It's almost an entirely new version. The reason they've scrapped it is because they couldn't finish everything before MTA: SA became a priority. MTA: SA and MTA: Blue will be much better than any version on the old core will ever be.
-
I can't believe people actually still play 0.5. 0.5.5 was dropped long before they even started working on MTA: SA (uh, yeah, I can speak from experience since I was on the beta team). I seriously doubt they're going to go back to it. And even if they do, it will be a bad move. Am I the only one that thinks that releasing MTA: SA and then releasing 0.5.5 afterwards is a step backwards?
