I use a belkin router, fowarded the port, have no problems with it. every now and then one computer will get disconnected from the server, but it happens just as much when i'm using only one pc under the same ip. might try setting '2003' as a special application port

besides, sucking up bandwidth is no new feat, every website or server is vulnerable to it :\ perhaps microsoft wants you to test their servers eh har har

well, perhaps an admin can view your proof, and give you his ip, call up his isp if you are serious

you might tell him to check his firewall too, before i fowarded 2003, i could connect and kill people, but it wouldn't all the incoming data in, probably 25% got thru as odd as it sounds. people got VERY frustrated with me, then i fowarded it, and get killed more often lol. Also a well placed moltov can solve the aiming issue hehe

That's why i never lan with someone i don't know. I don't go to quake con with my machine, i don't go to anime cons with my machine...because you just can't trust anyone. And when i find people stealing my personal things, i deal no mercy Now, when i take my laptop anywhere, it;s in a steal case with duel locks, then that doesn't leave my sight. Guess a good mod to consider would be chain loops in the bottom of the case lol

I agree, show them exactly how you wish to modify it and how it will benefit the mod, and simply tell them there will be no other alterations that might void the copyright protection etc. Or pehaps make the client do it before the exe is run, then replace all original coding when the game is exited...dunno what kind of time that would take tho, for the client i mean

yeah, but thats kinda cruel, end up blocking a quarter of the US for one jerk, if i owned the server i'd at least track it down to the isps switch he used...block at least fewer people lol

I was just curious if the devs were going to make getting in the back of a van / swat van etc possible. Say, four people could get in back, two in front for a total of 6 incl. the driver. I just think it'd be cool to load up a posse (per say lol) in a van and go to a battle.

custom radio would rule, lord knows there are plenty of people ont he forums for different voices, only issue would be clarity, i know i don't have many decent microphones I should get my audio tools reinstalled and i'd help out

Well great idea, I'd lvoe some variation myself. Now i'm not a coder by anymeans, but i know the principles. Something like this, the underlying problem is exactly how everyone is graded payed by the application itself. Plus, this would add so much more bandwidth issues. Instead of guns, possition, direction, shooing, driving etc currently, you'd add money, position, what they should be doing, what they are doing, why it is right or wrong. Perhaps it'd work on lan, but i dunno about online...be a whole mess load of work if you're talking about an actual mod

EXCELLENT IDEA, too often do I see people with bad "your momma" jokes, as well as one particular person named "asswipe" who does not play, but uses the client to spread idiotic ideals. People have the right to free speech, but I see a general rule in that, if you cannot say something in town square, it shouldn't be said in a chat, game, or elsewhere online aside from private messages. And as for the 12yo thing, i've found most people online who are so offensive are typically 18-20'ish who have had either a repressed, or disturbing childhood, including super strict parents, or even abusive parents, perhaps a bad school, bullies etc. But it is no excuse to say such profain things. But, then people tell me I over analyze things a lot lol.

right, the ASE simply sniffs around the internet for ip locations, which normally you wouldn't know about, but since it's YOUR computer, you can easily access the IP adress and necessary info. So just assuming you do ipconfig on the server pc, and the adress is 192.168.2.2 simply input that ip, and the port number (defaults to 2003) in the MTAclient on the client pc

lol i stuck it to my old ps2...it's earned it

open command prompt on the server pc type "ipconfig" and get that ip. The ngo to the client computer and type it in MTA, should work fine

i bought it myself because once i found mta i literally couldn't wait long enough to download it lol. Altho i still use a no cd, boots the game so much faster

In fact i think he might have changed his name to vicebaby to regain access to servers he's been banned from...oh well guess cheating is the skilless mans way out of death eh lol
