Possibly, although the first images mentions the use of open-source tools and is watermarked Codename Blue so combined with the content of the interview itself it should be clear which is which. Also it should be noted that is an article specifically about open source and anyone coming to the mta site from it would most likely be a coder not a 'noob'

It would be a little wasteful to use some of the finite client connections merely to emulate a pedestrian. It would be far better for an addon creator to investigate methods of actually including a few syncd (or perhaps even unsyncd, although that has some drawbacks and would be a shame when almost everything else is syncd in Blue.) ok I'll try. Find mta.ini (in the directory you installed mta 0.5 into) open it with notepad. Add the following to the file and save it. [Game-VC] Version=0 Location=C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe IMPORTANT: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe should be changed if that is not the location of YOUR vice city. For example if your vice city is on d:\VC\ you change it to: Location=D:\VC\gta-vc.exe Hope that helps

Actually I often have to try 3 or 4 servers before i can get on as they are all full. I couldn;t comment, Ive never played in the partyservers If by that your suggesting the memories i mentioned above relate to development then you are incorrect. I'm referring to playing in public servers with release versions. I guess we dont play in the same places then, hardly relevant. I'm not sure how everyone you've ever played with would share specific memories only of that session with those people, did they all never play at any other time? Surely that can't be true as you insinuate above that youd played with me, and I played the majority of times without you being in the server. I find that rather unlikely, why on earth woudl one play onsomethign one didn't enjoy? So your suggestion is that everyone plays a game mode they hate because nobody plays the one that everyone loves, which is much better. And that everyone will sit and wait for that other, horrible one, to fill up but not the nice one? Again not really a realistic suggestion I dont really follow what you are saying there, sorry.

I think you have to ask yourself why more people play Shoreside Vale than Portland. I think you will find the answer is that they prefer it, and that you are in the minority. If you, personally, don't like Shoreside then stick to Portland servers As for 'the memories are better' well that made me laugh. Personally I have memories of good times in every single incarnation of MTA. And those memories arent of 'oh what a great skin i had' or 'that was a great place to spawn' they are far more meaningful and unique than that and involve people, activities and experiences that werent dependant in any way on what was provided but depended on what we made of it. The islands are treated differently to provide a different gameplay experience in each, and it will remain this way.
