Having discovered a rather nasty sync related problem that appears to have been with us for some time but was exaserbated in version 0.5, our testing over the last few days has been concentrating on pinpointing just when it crept into the code. This has involved using both older clients/servers/scm sets and brand new cut-down versions. The good news is we seem to have found when it crept in and can therefore build on the prior code to prevent it reappearing. Here are a few images taken during this process *note that as said before these were files created specifically to narrow down on this issue, they do not represent what will be in the final release* IMAGES Depending on the severity of the problem some features that are currently in the 0.5 release may have to be removed for 0.5.x More on this later..

    Look in the addons section, mtama grs thread, it includes a login system. You may also be able to find a snippet that deals solely with this if you dont require any of the other reatures. Again, addons section, mtama scripting thread.
  3. Looks very nice, you must have put a lot of time and effort into that. Good job. Only a tiny detail but check the car naming, its Bloodring Banger and Hotring Racer for example

    Where? on this forum, many times, sometimes stretching to pages of discussion. Nobody knows? hehe, do you know how new that makes you sound? Most players who've stuck it out for more than a couple of hours play know all about the issues, and now you do too.
  5. Mafia is an entirely different game, not related to the GTA series at all. The rest of what you said doesn't make a great deal of sense to me either.

    This has been covered many times before, MTA is a beta and is primarily client side, this means what you see in your game isnt necessarily what everyone else sees (your bullets hitting them for instance) Ignore knockdown animations, ignore blood spurt animations, take note ONLY of thier health bar, aim ahead, a lot if you or your target has a high ping. If your both hitting each other (standing still with m4 for instance) this can cause a deadlock where you both see the other being hit but not shooting (resulting in neither of you getting hit) so move a little then fire again - never a god idea to stay still too long anyway.

  10. What message? We have promised no such thing MTA Yellow? This isn't pokemon gangsters? We dont plan any total conversions, try Mafia I believe multiplayer was in its inception for that.

  14. It wasnt stickied as too many look really messy (and now we got onemore argh) a sticky is designed purely to keep something at the top, WE choose what gos in this section therefore this would stay at the top for the foreseeable future anyway. Oh well, springclean soon.

    Fireteams?

    Early hopes for 0.5 included team scorebaord/scoring, Team Tag Colours, Team Chat, friendly fire off etc. Obviously this never panned out. I'm afraid such changes are very very unlikely to appear in 0.5.x as they would involve major changes. Im not going to say the usual Blue thing because its becoming cliched.

  20. Don't let the percentage fool you, lots of work has gone into blue whilst thats been stuck at 65. No release dates. Locked

  22. Heh, bad nettiquette to ask that in regards to anything, Testers are invited usually. Besides, we are a long long way away from anythign remotely testable as yet.
