  1. 8 bytes are for the header. Better late than never. eAi
  2. Patience... Try different servers... (USE ASE, check you've read http://www.mtavc.com/sbs.php). eAi
  3. I think that mta will include this at some point. When is just the questions. Theres a lot going on in gta3:mta 0.[whatever] so it may have to wait i suspect, as its not the easist thing to implement. eAi
  4. Cool To be honest thats like expecting there to be a tutorial on how to write microsoft office... there isn't, becuase its a program thats semi-unique... you aren't going to find tutorials on such complex things.... Try learning the building blocks first, then you'll see how it all fits together. Well lots of languages You don't appear to have done yet...eAi
  5. To be honest, both games are very similar in structure. Theres some things you can't do in gta3 that you can do in vice city, but generally, if you can get somthing to work on one, it'll work on the other. Concequently, they aren't 'wasting time' working on gta3... eAi
  6. We're not talking about opcodes here... this is on-the-fly memory... eAi PS: I did it in the end, see the poll topic in the suggestions forum.
  7. After much hard work, heres what I've managed: Peds on a truck! Then I had a go at moving The one on the back looks like hes walking. Thats because he is. Don't worry about that, just forgot to stop him walking before I put him on... he won't go anywhere Now, i'm going to try to put the player on a truck... eAi
  8. A: Why the double post? B: No there isn't a tutorial. Why would there be? C: You're missing a lot on your poll D: Your poll is tottally off topic eAi
  9. Heli mission one is basically the same i think, the actor (the player) is locked to the side of the helicopter, with some camera ajustments to stop the player looking back into the heli (and seing that lance is doing bugger all). eAi
  10. Duplicate of http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?p=59205#59205 OK, heres what i've managed to do. First of all, I managed to get a pedestrian 'attached' to my truck. As you can see it didn't quite work. Hes attached... you can drive around as much as you like, but hes sort of in the wrong position : My second attempt, was to move an actor already on the back of a truck (in a mission): I tried to move it to my patriot: This was a success, sort of.... Hes on the patriot, but in the same position as he was on the other truck, not the right one. So, I did this, and all is well....: Except, I haven't worked out how to move the actor in relation to the centre of the truck... Can't find the co-ordinates... Anyway, there we go eAi

  12. It depends how they implement it. Its very likley they'll just do it in the files, not interfering with the exe, in which case theres probably no problem. eAi
  13. Its entirely possible for mta to make a player temporarily invincible while they're 'in' the vehicle. eAi
  14. Yes, it would be possible. More bandwidth of course, but I suspect it will happen. Not the next version though probably... eAi
  15. Thats probably not hard, do the usual exit animation then quickly move the player down a bit.... eAi
  16. Well, there are as i said only 4 positions for actors. The method of locking the actors into an XYZ isn't easy, well ok, its easy, but to constantly do it, so they don't come out of the side of the van doesn't make it practical really. This is the 'glue' method mentioned in that linked post. You could i supose 'fake' the coach method, and move the players to another spot on the map, move the player's cams to inside/behind the van, and then when they get out, move them back. Thats more pratical. eAi
  17. Well its posible, essentially its the same as a normal midair exit with less damage and a couple of different animations... eAi
  18. The rope appears to just be a particle effect. Difficult to control. eAi
