Ans speaking of MTA and all kinds of GTA Patches.... What is DM like on 1.0 1.01 and 2.0? can it run on all? or will it be retarded like MTA:Race? -

Well... somthing didnt work right....... on map start it just randomed the map....... over and over and over and over and over. untill i unloaded the script.

My scripting experience: All i know how to do is get MTA to say things when ceartian commands are thped... like.... !rofl Dan Rolls on the floor laughing. And most of that is guess work, i just copy and paste lines from PRS and change the text. So i cant make a script that complex.

Thunderbird checks for new email once a minute, and makes a lot of noise when there is one. Thats a cool idea, but i belive that it needs a Default of 3 (cos setting limits for 450+ maps one at a time would suck ass) but also keep a command to make the limit for said map changeable.

What he said also. the main reason why we want it is because of one stubborn ass admin who dosent get the hint. all he does it keeps redoing the map over and over aand over till he breaks the record, and its vurtually impossible to break his records unless you do the same thing. But yeah, for our server, im just looking for a 3 plays max per 30 mins script.

First of all, i AM the server owner. That chatlog was written by me as an example of what i would like it to do, it dosent reflect what is auctually happening in the server. Most of our Race maps go for over 5 minutes. Map Voting is disabled. Vote 9 is also disabled. the reason why we want a script like this is mainly to stop dicks voting for the crappier maps over and over. and also to give other people a reason to play some of our other 450+ maps. Ever played games like Unreal Tournament? notice how most servers Disable maps after they are played? We want that feature for our game server. Not your oppinion. the reason why we want it to only disable the map after 3 plays is so we can have a few !redos at the start of our championship maps, for restarting after somone has a spawn glitch. that is all.

Basically, what im looking at is a script far too complex for my nooby ass to make, so if somone could knock this script up for me, that would be brilliant thanks: Basically, what im looking at is a way to make it so a Map gets disabled if used more than 3 times in 30 minutes, (then gets restored 30 minutes later) So basically..... here is an idea of what im looking for: Race: Joes Hairy Nuts Started. DemonSeed: !Redo Race: Joes Hairy Nuts Started. DemonSeed: !Redo Race: Joes Hairy Nuts Started. DemonSeed: !Redo Race: Joes Hairy Nuts Started. Error: This map is Disabled for 30 Minutes: Too Many Plays. Starting a Random Map. But i want it to work not on !redo only, but also with the Map Vote, so if the same map is played 3 times in 30 mins, it will disable it. and ofcourse reenable it after 30 mins is up.

Well, i have noticed that a Lot of the fixes in 1.01 are working even with the exe switch, Exploded cars go dark, Sound Dropouts have stopped, and so on. -
Well, im sure you allready know that you can adjust that 30 second timeout max to somthing higher. im guessing you will if the timeouts start happening again? Also mate, i just noticed an issue.... "Haloween DD" http://center.mtasa.com/?p=race&r=6625 is one of the latest maps to be uploaded... but when you click view..... http://center.mtasa.com/?p=race&r=6625&mode=view its showing the wrong maps image. (The Wheel 1) Just thaught you should know.

Used to work for them? so you get a discount? Also, just a small thaught on the map center.... im guessing the generation of the Map Images would take a lot of recources, as ive often been there before and seen an error... (cant remember what it was but it had somthing to do with PHP generation and a 30 second max) if it does use a lot of recources and power, why not ditch that system and Require screenshots when map uploading?

But my method ISNT a downgrade, it keeps most of the V1.01 Fixes while allowing you to play MTA. -

Hi all. I have noticed over time a lot of threads of people asking if they can run MTASA with San Andreas V1.01 and most of the time, it results in some random (Sometimes even Moderators) telling them to Fuck Off, and then shortly after the topic becomes locked. Well, for all those people, i can gladly say that YES, MTASA WILL RUN WITH v1.01 of the game IF ceartian modifications are made. And heres the walkthru: For people wanting to Upgrade to V1.01 ok, its fairly simple, Make sure your v1.0 of san andreas is installed allready. Make sure MTA:SA is installed and runs. Make a Backup of your ORIGINAL V1.0 GTA_SA.EXE file (Found in \Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\) Then Install the V1.01 Update. After the V1.01 Update is installed, replace the new .exe with the GTA_SA.EXE that you made a backup of. Then load MTA and it will all work fine. That is the method that i used to update to V1.01 to get rid of a LOT of the Sound Dropouts caused often by "Bounce Mines" For people who allready have v1.01 You will need to get a Hold of an Original V1.0 GTA_SA.EXE (If you have patched up to 1.01 manually, then the gta_saexe that you want is on the CD/DVD) (If not, then you may need to Download one, because 90% of the .exe's for V1.0 that you can download are No-CD cracks for the game, i will not tell you where to find one.) Once you have replaced the GTA_SA.EXE with a V1.0 GTA_SA.EXE you should be able to Install and Run MTASA without any problems. I hope this solves many peoples Questions about getting MTA to work with V1.01 of GTA:SA. -Dan

Map center is totally boned..... Its even worse now..... "Server Default page If you see this page it means: 1. hosting for this domain is not configured or 2. there's no such domain registered in Plesk " Last time map center went down... it was down for MONTHS. Lets take guesses on how long you expect them to be fixing it.... My guess is..... Over 6 months. and secondly..... i find this funny.... the server is running Plesk..... My suggestion... Dump plesk, and learn how to set up a server properly.

im doing it the old fashioned way so i can release the emotes script when ive finished creating it.... and theres a few servers using the beta allready Hence the !Info command and the !emotes command for what im planning, its eaisier to use Notepad2.

Thanks anyway Sanzor... cos im a noob at scripting i didnt know it needed an alias section.... but you pointed me into the correct direction

Just a small issue reguarding the on *:SIGNAL:mta.command { var %a = $iif(($4 == $null),$2,$iif(($mta.getid($1,$4) == $null),$2,$v1)) section that was added to make the emotes script standalone... (i finally got around to pulling all the emotes out of PRS and putting it into its own script) when it was in PRS i was able to type a command and section of a users name..... But with it in its standalone script i have to type the Full Name of another player otherwise it dosent work... What needs to be changed to allow it to work with Partial names?

thats a cool idea, but it wont work for what im planning.
