  1. i know there are a lot of threads like this, but i have looked thru them and they don't seem to be quite what I'm looking for. the basic idea that i would like is, points are awarded to First place, Second Place and Third place. Say, 10 points for first, 5 points for second, and 1 point for 3rd. No points attall awarded for racing by ones self. the points need to be saved in a way so it is friendly to people who have a Dynamic IP. (say, the first 2 octets of an IP + their name) so for example [PHS]Dan[AU] 203.34.xxx.xxx 27points that's so the user name is locked to the ISP, so even if its dynamic, people outside of that ISP cant impersonate that player. and a command to show the amount of points a user had, so like !points or !points [PHS]Dan[AU] if someone can do that please it would be greatly appreciated, as i have absolutely no idea about scripts and the thought of it just confuses me. ------------------------------------------------- just remembered, i also need a points script for a cops n robbers map. that would have basically the same system that the race one would except the awarding would be different..... 15 points for being the last man standing. -1 point loss for death. if someone could please help me on those 2 scripts that would be a great help for the Pothole Studios servers.
  2. (screenies are fairly big... but thats what you get when you run 2 screens) Before i got my new PC: http://files.potholestudios.com/images/ ... ay'sPC.jpg After i got my new PC: http://files.potholestudios.com/images/ ... enshot.jpg
  3. is the a command for checking said players score? and/or is there a way to incorperate the score into !stats along side wind/deaths/spawns and so on? :::EDIT::: Auctually, i have just found this script to be useless with a dynamic IP.

i realy like this script idea, alltho i have no idea on how to install it. can somone please point me in the right direction? :::EDIT::: dont worry, i guessed my way thru... i just made a .txt file pasted it in there and renamed it forbiddennames.mrc and wala, it worked.
  5. Thanks for that, its all working... if this all goes to plan, i should have to take even less notice of what that pc is doing.
  6. um..... what? i have no idea what that means or what to do.
  7. hi, i am having a few troubles with MTA:MA, its not MTAMA's fault, more the fault of my ISP, but i believe the problem can be negated in the MTAMA script, basically, i would like a special version of mtama that when it becomes disconnected, (by isp screw up) instead of it trying to reconnect 5 times at 5 second intervals, i would like it to either have an infinite retry count, or at least 1000 retries, but because i don't know a god dammed thing about scripting, so its not something i can just change. if that's possible, it would be really appreciated.
  8. we left it go overnight, and it didnt seem to do anything, its only that computer that does it tho.
  9. im running MTAMA v4.15 and i tried the command, and same thing, except recived even less maps.
  10. The server still cannot retrieve the entire map list with this script running, its only retrieving 46 maps out of the 77 that are on the server. any ideas?
  11. Hello, i got an interesting question, with the MTA:SA server (linux version) is there a way to make it bind to a particular IP address on my server, (as the server has multiple IP addresses) the reason for this is so I can run a Race server on one IP and a DM (when it's released) on another IP, while still running off the same Server.
  12. great.... now i look like an idiot... thanks for the help man.
  13. First of all, great scripts, works really well on the Pothole Studios MTA server... all tho i would like to suggest a couple of commands that would be nice to have, a Clear Top Time command, used when someone wins a race and sets a record by cheating... as it is now we have to go into the times.ini and remove them manually. and a restart current map command would also be awesome.
