  3. A mode where the safest and most respectful driver wins. Stop at traffic lights, drive at a safe and practical speed, and heed for pedestrians. If you hit another player, you need to exchange insurance information. The rules of the road are there for your safety, after all.

  5. I'm pretty sure there'll be death messages. I worked a system out for it, that I'm pretty confident in, although it hasn't been tested (more important things at the time). They'll probably be like 'Tom killed Joe." Although there is a way to add which weapon they did it with, I'm not sure we'll add that. But Quake kinda messages would probably spice things up a bit, so I'll look into it .

    I used to think the same thing at one time, but it's not really worth it for a project like this. It would expose far too many vulnerabilities in our software, and any one with the source will only try to make another MP mod anyway.

  9. Ugh, I don't even know if I should waste time refuting all that crap. Next release is not far away, and we are moving fast and doing well. But I'll just let the program speak for itself. Thread closed.
  10. Yeah, cars are implemented, and if you happen to hit the tires, I'm sure they'd blow out. I'd say the same about the glass but I'm not sure if the player is succeptable to that. Although we do have a problem right now that the players can only shoot straight ahead, not up or down .

    Cops/peds/ped cars are far away, so can't do anything with that, gamemodes aren't here yet either. Although I like the radar on/off idea, i'll probably try to get that in, and maybe the car respawn option.
  13. It's ok, next version will be cool, everyone knows these problems right now. Next version will have most of the weapons, much less lag, plenty of different vehicles.

    That's wouldn't mean the server has mods, it probably means you do. Either that or it's just another bug.
  18. I don't think we'll be getting help from someone like that. I'm sure there are a few resources on the internet that could help if we want to get into advanced netcode. Anyway, I'm confident in the new netcode, it's simple and effective, I don't think you have to worry about lag like in earlier versions. I didn't really read all of the stuff in this thread, but syncing peds is a while away. If you just enable them, they will be different on everyone's computer. I wouldn't expect seeing synced peds for a while because it's going to take a special method to do it.
