  5. Nice work Rebel. Being the most used gun (probably) you've combined detail into a nice neat mesh, and the intricate texturing has been done well also. I just started on a mos eisley type of stall. The canvas texture will be replaced by a better one on my other pc. I will also add some nice little thingy bobs under the stall for sale As of now you will only find me in the #mtasw channel edit: Also the start of Anakin's podracer: (Higher definition textures will be used)
  6. Update. More done to the details of the map and texturing on allotment A2: Below is a shot taken from behind the mountain showing some tunnels etc: Ingame shots should be coming soon, as well as a lot more flat sandland and the dunes
  7. so liek, theres another bit of the map: that untextured plateux has detail beneath it with stairs that lead down into tunnnels for added depth The general shaping of the land is relatively quick, and other sections (like ones with just sand and no mountain face) will take about 20 minutes each. You might also be able to spot a tunnel in that rockface somewhere

  9. I learnt through testing that its not possible to use great land masses as map objects by just setting the LOD distance high. After its increased past 300 or so the col file seems to null itself and you fall through the map. Therefore the baseland will be made of around 40 cut up square lots (4x10). This will solve the LOD problem, keep poly levels on map objects down and also keep the game running smoother. Additionally other modellers can take particular lots and implement their buildings into them etc. Below is the far northwest of the map, other parts have been done but I have been paying more attention to this section building a cave into the mountains: And Ingame (its really fun ): ^ The Cave
  10. Just the start of Skywalker's house, im going to inset it into the land and maybe i'll put an r2d2 in it
  11. Just semi textured to give an idea of the look. A lot of the inner detail is occluded, but I guess people can wait to see that ingame This building also has a cellar that I want to fill with secrets or team credits. Well anyways this building should be done eventually and then I can focus completely on the baseland mesh.
  12. Thats brilliant Vinny, you really captured the layout and styles of Mos Eisley. Even the way the buildings are linked together with arches looks right. Nice work, now stop making me look bad! Bah, i must try using sketchup, maybe thats why I'm slow.
  13. Got hold of some slighty better textures, but models will need prelighting if they are going to maintain the same colour for ingame:
  14. Just a rough building I put together using the references supplied, needs texture refinement, but yeah, this wobbly stone building style suits me
  15. Yeah, I edited my post into something remotely useful in an attempt to remove my warning. Best thing to do is reinstall, but that is a big pain. Makes sure you have all three movies in your movies folder, and that they are named: GTAtitles, GtatitlesGER, and Logo. Close all other programs when running mta to eliminate any other causes of pooness. And try deinstalling and reinstalling mta again. Idont know what else to suggest.
