  1. I found a few opcodes that would help. One I found something about gravity in the scm, but it appears it just affects 'physics'. Like I can set the gravity to 0, but all that will do will make it where he doesn't take any damage when he falls. I have also found an excellent animation that can be played through the scm that would go perfect with a parachute. But I don't have the mission builder on this computer, im visiting my dad. Maybe if OpiuM would stop playing CSS and sign on msn, something could get accomplished. edit: as for shooting while falling.. if I can get the PLAYER set as 0 gravity through the scm instead of the ACTOR, theres a high chance of this being possible. and controlling the direction in wich you fall doesnt sound hard, if player presses LEFT or RIGHT, move his X position + or -
  2. Well, that part is done through the mtaclient.exe, not the SCM.. so that part would be up to the mta team
  3. Yeah, thats hard-coded physics. Its not something done in the SCM. Well.. there is an opcode that outputs a vehicle's health.. but it doesnt matter if it was shot by a gun or collided in the wall, they both cause the car's health to decrease. Using your idea, a player would become unglued if someone was shooting the car they was glued to. I think it would be best to only un-glue the player when A) he pushes enter, or B) the car is upside down
  4. Anywhere in the GTA world.. interesting. Its like a 3d text thingy just sitting in gta, that is awesome. But I'd hope we can change the draw distance and size of it.
  5. There are blocks for that, in the scm you can check if a car is upside down, and if it is.. un-glue the player.. that would be easy. I dunno about how hard a car colides with another object, it does sound familliar in a few missions..
  6. A. wtf is fat bastard mode, it sounds familliar. Q. Are these childish avatars not the funniest thing you've ever seen?
  7. Realistic-looking or not, it still sounds like loads of fun.
  8. Well, I've been wondering something lately.. whats up with everyone saying things aren't possible with "the current core"? Why can't you just modify your "current core"?
  9. According to the rules, they were cheating, even though I firmly disagree. So pretty much your just digging a deeper hole for this thread, its unnecessary.
  10. I had to squint to read that. Please, use proper grammar and spelling in your future posts. In fact, please don't post at all. There are people that agree that even the smallest modifications is cheating. Had this rule not been in the EULA, they would not agree, obviously. The MTA team themselves should know that it is indeed severely strict to accuse such an event as cheating, but what can I say. This is probably the millionth argument over this matter, obviously nothing is going to change their minds, so I'll quote what I said earlier: Wait for blue.
  11. I think its pretty funny when people try to make accusations and can't provide any evidence. Show me where they have broken the EULA in 0.3, 0.3rc2, 0.4, and 0.4.1. kthxbai
  12. What he told us is something every MTA user knows. At least I'd hope so. I don't think KFC is disagreeing that they was cheating, or whatever you call it. I think they disagree on their strict definition of cheating. But, there always is the boring bunch who would rather play the same game over and over rather then have a little extra fun every once in a while.
  13. Have you ever been to a modding stunt server? No one is using the same modification, but that's beside the point.Do you think that's the only reason the MTA team strictly forbids any use of modifications in their EULA? Of course not... Read the last part of my post, though. That's where my point stands. Before you tell me to read the last part of your post, maybe you should pay a little attention to my post also. I said that MOST of the reason, not the only reason. And I do agree that those 'modding servers' where everyone is allowed to use their own mods is cheating. Everyone having different mods is, any everyone will agree, definatly cheating. And now, as for the last part of your post. Since their definition of 'cheating' could be something as small as changing the stubby to 40.0001, then they were 'cheating'. But, heres another useful metaphor for you: A person shoves a guy. He is accused of first degree murder. The justice here is a little too strict, if you ask me.
  14. They was having a good time, enhancing the game experience. If you actually think they HAD to use miniguns to kill eachother, maybe you should go play some more. To have such a gun available and not be able to use it isn't anyone's idea of fun. Say it with me now, R-E-T-A-R-D.
  15. Dross, stop pointlessly posting your ignorant spam. We're discussing something rather important, had you not noticed. Your stupidity is not wanted here. Its not the fact that their server allowed it.. its the fact that everyone had the exact same modifications. Incase you did not know, most of the reason that the MTA team doesn't like modifications is because it can cause game crashes. When everyone has the same files, this is not the case. If there is a crash, it is either a bug in MTA or a bug in the mod they are all using.
  16. lemme guess u already tried 0.3 and 0.4 /me wonders what mods KFC has for 0.4x .......lame ones +I wouldn't tell someone like you even if I did. Lets just say that some of us have been around longer then others.
  17. I seriously doubt there are any active 0.2.2 servers up. And in case you didn;t understand, the MTA team put protection against the minigun in 0.3+. So no, they aren't using the minigun in other servers. Good try, though. oh and you know this how? sounds like theres a good reason ur using 0.2 I have not played MTA in weeks, letalone even considered playing such an early version. And I know this because there is a thing you lack called COMMON SENSE.
  18. I seriously doubt there are any active 0.2.2 servers up. And in case you didn;t understand, the MTA team put protection against the minigun in 0.3+. So no, they aren't using the minigun in other servers. Good try, though.
  19. He wants someone who actually wrote the rules to reply, in case you didn;t understand.
  20. If people are "punished" based on the level of severity, then KFC should have gotten a little 'no-no', because what they have done is not severe at all. Having a good time with some friends, with no advantage, is not worth all this disrespect. Grow up.
  21. You want the definition of cheating? I'll use counterstrike, for example. Ever heard of an AIMBOT? When you shoot, it aims directly at their head, instantly killing them. That = cheating. According to the MTA team, changing the stubby value from 40 to 40.00001 is cheating. So, both of those events are classified as cheating. Do you know what that is like? If every system in the world was based off this, look at this: A person goes and steals a piece of gum. He gets put in jail for a day. Then he goes and steals a car. Hey, stealing is stealing, right? Jail for one day.
  22. The MTA team has created their own definition of cheating. I disagree that changing 40 to 40.00001 is actually cheating, whoever thinks that is cheating is mentally challenged.
  23. Hello? We are not talking about MURDER, we are talking about setting the rules for a GAME. Is there anyone here who seriously doubts that all players can agree on a set of rules for a game and then by definition it's not cheating? WTF? It may not be "standard" rules but it sure as hell isn't cheating. Don't diminish the seriousness of ACTUAL cheating in your quest to beat up on good old KFC. I know we're not talking about murder, it was a metaphor. I also know how you feel, we have gotten accused of "cheating" when we was having fun before too. I'm just saying this.. the rules are the rules. EULA says don't modify the game's files. And you did. Yes, their definition of cheating can be very farfetch'd, but thats what Blue is for.
