San Andreas Future Gaming RPG Server Main Language: English (Other languages could be spoken through our language-chat) Server Game-mode: Cops & Robbers Server IP: mtasa://185.239.238.147:22003 Official Discord Link: Click here Core Spawn Selection When you register and login for your first time onto the Server, you will be prompted with our spawn menu selection. In this menu, you will be able to select the city you wish to spawn in along with your class, spawn and skin. For each class, there is at least one public spawn which gives you access to spawn. (Exception: Special/restricted groups & organizations which you must join through their recruitment process) Public Spawn: This class has no restriction at all. Anyone can spawn as this class whenever they want and play as it. Restricted Spawn: This class is restricted to certain stats. You require 100 headshots in the game to unlock this spawn. This class gives the ability to be able to headshot with your sniper. (Kill instantly upon shooting someone in the head with your sniper) Hospital Menu When you die in the game, you will have this hospital screen menu pop up with the most nearest hospital you died within. You can press 'R' to respawn at the hospital with your saved weapons or 'Backspace' to completely return back to spawn selection screen. Car Spawner All hospital respawns & local police departments have one of these car spawner markers. This will give you a few options to use a few vehicles for limited time. These vehicles cannot be upgraded at the mod shop, they're used to get from Point A to Point B. An unoccupied vehicle for 5 minutes will be removed. Car shop System Mod shop System If you own a personal vehicle in the game, you are able to upgrade your vehicle at any mod shop in the game. You will simply visit any mod shop around the map, can be found by opening up the map in-game pressing 'F11' and following the red pliers on the map. Basic upgrades cost $2.5K & if you wish to have better vehicle upgrades, prepare to spend some good cash. This is only the v1 version of the mod shop, I plan on bringing more possibilities such as engine upgrade, armor, window tints, suspension & handling upgrade, etc. Personal Vehicle System If you have bought a personal vehicle from the car shop menu, you will be able to spawn it through the interaction system on the game. You will simply press 'F2' and navigate to the 'Vehicle' tab and click on 'Spawn vehicle.' If you own any personal vehicles, a list of the personal owned vehicles will pop up. You can navigate this menu with your num/scroll/mouse keys. Upon clicking left mouse button or enter, you will be able to spawn your vehicle nearby whichever way you want and you have the possibility to rotate the vehicle around with your mouse. Group System If you wanted to create your own group in-game, that is a possibility you have. You will simply use the /creategroup command following the group name and you will successfully have created a group in the server. There is a limit of one group that you can lead but there are no limits to how many groups you can be part of in the game. (Exception: group restrictions) You can work your way to making your group become official on the game by speaking to an administrator about the idea of your group, if it is approved, you can show efforts into wanting to build your group to become official. Show us you're active and willing to work tore your group & we'll grant you a spawn with few access. Gang System & Automatic Leveling System Gang: As a gang you can earn Gang XP by participating in any criminal activity on the game. You will earn XP per player on each activity & by the hour if you are more than three (3) active gang members Squad: As a squad you can earn Squad XP by stopping criminal activities on the game. You will earn XP per player on each activity & by the hour if you are more than three (3) active squad members There are a maximum of 7 gang & squad levels. The more activities performed while you're in-game, the quicker you will progress through levels. As you progress, you will unlock exclusive features for your gang & squad such as custom skins & vehicles, color, custom wraps, weapon/drug crafting & more! Player vs Player Bet System Want to go against players for money through an in-game bet system? That is also a possibility at our Server! Simply type the /bet command and bet against a player for money! Ammu-Nation Server Activities & Jobs Police Escort There will be a Prison Bus that will spawn in a random police department (LS, SF or LV). Upon the bus being spawned, a cop has to deliver this bus with the inmates inside to the prison. Upon the completion of the activity, cops will be rewarded. Criminals can interfere with this activity and bring the bus to destruction where they will be rewarded for doing so. Police Transportation The Securicar will spawn at the three major Police Departments (LS, SF and LV). It'll be indestructible & unable to move until mission is started. In order to start the mission, you must enter the vehicle as a driver. - X cops around the Securicar to start the mission - X criminals required to be on to start the mission - X cops required to be around the Securicar to finish When the mission starts, criminals will receive a notification & a blip on the securicar's location. Cops will also receive a notification & blip of the securicar so they can always know where is located & the destination point (destination point is not visible to criminals) Ways for cops to fail the delivery: Criminals completely destroying the securicar. If the driver is killed, anyone else can just continue the mission. (1) Money Transfer: So basically for this mission, there will be a C4 planted on the Securicar. Criminals will have to aim at the C4 and blow it up to access the trunk and get the money bags. Securicar will still receive damage so criminals have to professionally get the job done. Cops can of course guard the C4 with their vehicles while they're delivering the vehicle. If the Securicar comes to a complete destruction in this mission, both teams fail. (2) Rare materials: Same thing as the Money transfer mission but with the slight difference that you're not delivering money bags instead items/goods (so you won't have a money bag on you but a briefcase instead) - If the Securicar comes to a complete destruction in this mission, both teams fail. (3) Evidence: There's no C4 for this mission. Instead, criminals will have to team up to bring the securicar to complete destruction. Cops have to guard the securicar and prevent from it blowing up. If it blows up, criminals near the area get paid. If it gets delivered, cops within the area will get paid. Ammu-nation Robbery As a criminal, you are able to rob the ammu-nation shops around the map. You can decide to do this with multiple players or completely by yourself. You will simply go in any ammu-nation in the game & kill the dealer; upon killing the dealer, you will be given a money bag that you will have to deliver to a warehouse. If you are successful without being stopped by the cops, you will be rewarded with some cash & extra ammo on all your current weapons.4 points

These skins are only for displaying purposes atm, both Gwen blue & orange are already into MTA -- this might change in the future as I have invested a lot of time into them, some are pre-made like serpent & gwen, as I managed to import what can be imported, they might feel different than the original versions and missing some components. This dude always come back with better version of his server's, the server is based on cops and criminals which brings out fun for us as a community players. There's so much activities you can do as both classes, and even a special groups. Also, scripts are unique and well designed. As for the FPS, server is not laggy at all, you will get a good FPS! I don't regret joining in, you guys should join too!2 points

I used to play CnR servers on SAMP in the early days but now since I've moved on to MTA I havent really found a CnR server that suits me. This server on the other hand has showed me alot of great potential and has got already enjoyable gameplay in the early access v0.0.9 with a supportive and friendly community.2 points

After a decade of building the best known Roleplay script out there. The OwlGaming community has been the last large community that has maintained (and publicly released) the Valhalla Gaming Roleplay script, with all its resources ready for anyone to create their own server. However, before the release of the script that is now available on github. The developers have cleared some specific resources, files, and possibly certain configurations, which ultimately resulted in a untested , and often difficult to install gamemode. Even if you managed to get the server running, you already get faced with various challenges to get your account operational. And when you do get your character created, and you can roam around the map. Many features (such as chat) are not functional. This seems a disservice to what the initial gamemode, its growth, and dedication of many developers actively working on it to leave such a prominent gamemode broken on a public service. Therefore I have made a 69th fork of the gamemode, with the intention to get the gamemode in working condition. But I cannot do it alone. This is where I ask the community to band together, and give this gamemode the care it deserves. Github Repo: MittellBuurman/MTA-Roleplay-Community Discord: SourPatch GC If you're interested in participating or contributing. Feel free to send me a PM on discord, or join the server and get the ideas flowing. Hope to see you there!1 point

I'd say use a timer to check the change in bytesReceived (From GetNetworkStats) since the previous frame and then divide by the sample time to calculate the Megabits (or Megabytes) per second. Perhaps have a look at the example for average packet loss in https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/GetNetworkStats which may point you in the right direction.1 point

What a ride down memory lane (and yes this is the original Cray... I have long since lost my original login/email to these forums, but rest assured that I have been a lurker ever since). It's great to see jhxp, eAi, Ransom and so many others continuing to progress this far past anything I had dreamed of in the early days pushing code out, spinning up a server on my basement server and getting some folks in IRC to help me test. Amazing. Keep up the great work! I forgot to say that I still cringe at my interview. Don't worry, I am much more comfortable speaking infront of crowds as a 40 year old1 point

I managed to avoid the bug by using a timer before transporting the vehicle. First I remove the player from the vehicle and transport him to the position, then with a timer I transport the vehicle addCommandHandler("tp", function(player) local vehicle = player.vehicle if vehicle then player:removeFromVehicle() player:setPosition(1660.8480224609, -2629.8156738281, 13.54687) Timer(function() vehicle:setPosition(1660.8480224609, -2629.8156738281, 13.54687) player:warpIntoVehicle(vehicle) end, 50, 1) end end )1 point

It has been a long and winding road to get to this point. Here is a condensed personal story from me for those who find it here. After so many years and so many people and memories, its so hard to remember everything. I started with GTA2 on Dreamcast and I loved it. I was fanatical about the upcoming GTA3 release. I even bought gaming magazines just to read pieces about it in school. I never did that for any other game. Eventually, I got my copy of the game on the PS2. The game met all my expectations. For it's time, the open world 3D city was something revolutionary and very exciting. I dwelled on the GameFAQ boards for GTA games during school after it released. Back then, that was one of the gaming centers of the universe. I'm pretty sure that is where I first heard about GTA Multiplayer being created for the PC version of the game. In the earliest days I had 56K Internet (gigabit fiber now!) and a mediocre computer with no GFX card, so I missed the earliest days of MTA. It was painful for me knowing that it was out there and I couldn't play it. By the time Vice City came out I had the means to play and really became part of the community since the first Vice City release. Vice City was actually a pretty fun deathmatch game. It worked well by abusing animation glitches to create good movement. The community grew into clans and I found one of the first users, Iggy248 and asked to join his new clan Vice City Police (VCP). We recruited a lot of talent. In the earliest days, we absolutely ruled the scene and it was a great time. Over time, a handful of our clan remained heavily active in the community and became closer to the development team. We would eventually be invited to beta test. Throughout time our roles and contributions increased. A handful of our crew moved on to be key contributors and one even became an MTA code developer. When GTA:SA released, development exploded and so did the need for contributors. As heads of the QA Testing Team (Rebel, JHXP, myself), our new "clan" consisted of finding the right people to test and contribute. I think we did a pretty good job at finding a lot of talented people. You could say this was a lot of luck. Personally, now at this point in my life after having similar experience elsewhere, I feel like I have had some skill and some part in bringing the right people together and keeping them together. However, I recognize that I am also stubborn and bull-headed, so I had failures and fallouts with people as well. I don't think you can lead without losing some friends. When disagreements happened, they were heartfelt and horrible, but I laugh thinking about most of them now. Some of them I deeply regret when I remember them. If any of those people are reading, I apologize to you if there are still any ill feelings. As mentioned in the OP, there were a lot of systems and I contributed significantly to most of them as staff and as a tester on behalf of the developers. I would say I am most proud of the original MTA:SA race editor. It was extremely popular and nothing let you edit & test directly inside a GTA game before this moment. At heart, I've always liked creating custom content, so this was of immense interest to me. I did the lion's share of bug reports/testing/features for this thru something we had called Mantis Bug Tracker. Thank you eAi and ChrML specifically for letting me drive you insane haha. I made a lot of races with that editor, but the best thing I made wasn't a race at all. I bastardized the race mode into a birth of the Destruction Derby game mode, with a map of the same name. It worked, because the race would end if only one car was left. I see the destruction derby game mode in GTA5 MP with pickups and it is very much the same way they were on that first map I made. I have no doubt that Rockstar Games took ideas from MTA for their online prototyping. You can look for "gta destruction derby" on YouTube and see now how big that game mode is alone. The GTA community is massive! Contributing to this community ultimately changed the course of my life. I learned a lot of various skills in the Computer Science field and it really propelled me towards being the IT worker I am today. From building my first computer to coding my first piece of code, the guys were there to help me along. It enabled me to pickup a lot of concepts of IT quickly and also to be efficient at what I do. Even though I got a business degree, I couldn't escape my fate haha. I still catchup with some of the people I worked with thru the years on our Discord. Every once in a blue moon, some long distant name will come out of the woodwork and namedrop me. It's overwhelming how many people you can meet over many years!1 point
