Hello everyone, I'm having an issue validating my serial on CachyOS (Arch-based Linux). Every time I try to enter MTA, I receive the following error: "There was a problem validating your serial" I have already followed the official troubleshooting steps, but the problem still persists. What I have already done: Installed and started MTA Server 1.6 directly on my host machine (CachyOS Linux x64), NOT inside a virtual machine. Fixed the libtinfo.so.5 dependency by creating a symbolic link to libtinfo.so.6. The server starts correctly and connects to the Master Server. Connected locally via 127.0.0.1, and the server logs my connection. When I try authserial VKDELAS, it says: "No serials require authorization" Generated an HTTP password using: authserial VKDELAS httppass but the old authorization link returns 404 Not Found, so I couldn't complete the validation process. 🖥 System Details: OS: CachyOS (Arch-based Linux x64) MTA Version: 1.6 Account Name: VKDELAS Is manual serial authorization still possible? Or is there a new validation page/process that I should use? I'm attaching a screenshot of the error message and server console. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m currently working on what I call Project Grafuclone — my (:~ty) attempt at creating a Grafuroam-style freeroam server like SAAF and others from 2019 to the present day. I’ve managed to make enough tweaks to provide a solid starter base, but after the failed launch of my own server, NaijaLane Freeroam, in 2021 and a failed relaunch in 2025 (ouch), I’ve decided to throw in the towel.
Instead of just uninstalling MTA:SA and forgetting about it, I’ll be uploading the work for the community, while making sure to follow the forum’s resource guidelines. The resources will be released on the forum in due time.

Buffers can be useful. Because you can only pick a server with a good CPU once. Sometimes you can upgrade the CPU, but there is a limit. While with ram, it is easier to upgrade. MTA Lua processes are afaik still is single threaded. But you need to invest a lot of time. I can be. An example db resource I made a while a go, not very efficient storage (text/string based), but easy to use. Not sure why I build the types text based, I would have build it differently now a days. Also recommended to write automatic tests for your creation, like I did with mine in sub folder \dev\*. You can storage md5 hash validation strings for validation, if you are interested in that. Smaller hash storage [binary]: using the UNHEX(hash) function (convert back with HEX(binary). Example resource that uses hash validation for client screenshots. I am not one of them. But I do work often met databases. I have put my recommendation in a spoiler if you are still interested:

A Ready Race Server Repository Contains various scripts that Classic Racing (checkpoint racing) servers use and some new scripts too with maps. Ready for casual racing or pro racing. It has around 800-900 vanilla RACE maps, and 100-200 casual maps. It has most important scripts for pro racing, like Pole Remover that's required in some maps, offroad wheels and much more. There is also well known RACE clanwar script by Vally, that has been redesigned to new standards Changes for some classic scripts Map Ratings - Now correctly working, with its own F4 gui where you can sort best rated / worst rated maps. It also notifies you to rate a map from 1-10. Map ratings save if you turn off the script VallyCW - Race League (clanwar) script by Vally. Completely overhauled, added bunch of new things - including ability to set captains, new point system more used in FFA games, /tech pause (it locks after 10 seconds) and much more. One of the most amazing implementations is the ability to export stats now - it should export the match stats to the VallyCW folder to stats.txt, which will give you full score and player scores. cw_script - Edited by BurN, now edited by Mateoryt. Also added new points system, and overhauled the script with new features. Toptimes - Retained more classic look, but edited few things like colors (1st, 2nd, 3rd toptimes), similar to SiK server back in the day. Only bad thing about it is spacing between the country flag. I'll probably upload robson race_toptimes2 there too, but if country flags will not work there for you, then use this one or remix the Robson script. It uses the flags from the scoreboard resource Carhide - the classic carhide from servers like GTA.RU back in the day. Fixed and working on newer servers Delay Indicator - smaller delay indicator, with an new command /clearsplits to clear splits when you delete a toptime. They will not show up anymore if you do that Installation: First off, do not wipe everything from resources. Only wipe the [addons] and [maps] folder from [gamemodes] / [race] folder. You can also keep voicepack or whatever I don't use it, but if you delete it it might cause you some warnings Put everything (or replace some stuff) to your server resources folder. Replacing i mean one thing in gamemodes / race / race client and server.lua to support onSpectateRequest so it warps people to spectator mode if clanwar script is running and they are in the spectators team Important thing: First off, type in the server console aclrequest list and check if any of the resources need acl requests, if they do - type aclrequest allow all or aclrequest allow (resource name) or all. Then you'll give all the scripts that need this acl rights so they can function properly. If any of the scripts will not work, try extracting that script from .zip maybe it will work better If you'd like to play on a server of mine I don't run 24/h servers I run a server whenever I can, and whenever I play - check out mtasa://51.75.58.35:10899 - I have most of these scripts in-place Feel free to contribute to anything, i'm looking for a working racing carfade that other servers have (I don't know if the mta community version works fine, or that one that is in the base server). Some scripts there are WIP but playable and you can test them out too like the ELO script (or modify it if you want)

Hi. Long story short. I made year or two ago my own package of scripts for role play server, which i never started. 3 months ago i decided to rewrite everything. As i looked at it and said "what a mess. Who wrote this?" meanwhile i've gained experience in C and good habits, so choice to rewrite everything was obvious for me at that moment. So i did basic optimisation. What can be stored and should be in bools is now stored in bools. not 1 and 20s lol. etc etc But for now i hitted the wall. Which is named "to buffer. Or not to". By that i mean. My scripts are connected to outside database as built in database is.. well not so fast and secure. And i didn't used to do that mechanism in original code. But i think it's rational to store very often pulled data from database localy on server memory. And update tables in parts to database like every 30seconds. Also i want to use buffer data and database to validate what comes from client side. Im storing vehicles on map, their custom data etc etc. And here's my main questions. 1.is it worth of effiord to make buffer if i plan 80-200 players on my server. 2.is validating client data with buffer and database worth concept 3.what are your coding advices for me?. Im Asking experienced ones that ruled servers with large player base. --[[btw i know that if server has 3 players buffer is not needed. Thanks, awesome advice.--]]

If you want the player to be able to use the vehicle, it has to be created server-side. Otherwise, client-side is the better option.

Hey, I wanted to make a private garage system something in the style of GTA V. In that case, for creating the cars in the garage (min 1, max 20 per person), should I use client-side or server-side? In theory, server-side is better for things like this, but with client-side I definitely wouldn’t put as much load on the server. Hi, I have a problem. After the latest MTA update, I can't join any servers because it kicks me back to the desktop when I enter the game. The crash occurs after about 1-2 minutes of playing MTA. I can play normally on some servers without updating the game, but one server I play on requires the latest update. I've tried everything. Does anyone have a similar problem and know how to fix it? Instalei uma atualização do MTA recentemente e após isso, meu painel admin começou a apresentar o erro mencionado acima, ele acontece sempre que tento abrir a aba "resources" de meu servidor. Tendo em vista que nunca mexi nos arquivos do painel admin e nem em outro arquivo do próprio MTA (mexi apenas no acl.xml para pegar a tag Console), alguém saberia me informar ou me dizer qual o motivo do erro ter sido ocasionado?
