njr1489
lol I used to chat with the aim voice chat cause I never heard of teamspeak. I think teamspeak should come with the next version of MTA so that it can be used a lot more. Link to comment
k00ner
bulit in teamspeak? just like they did with ase? lol. Link to comment
njr1489
bulit in teamspeak? just like they did with ase? lol. Not really. I meant the install of the latest teamspeak not built in the MTA client. Link to comment
Oyst3r
voice chat can make it laggy, so it is a bad idea. Just use ventrilo or teamspeak. Link to comment
Si|ent
This has come up a few times before. To cut a long story short there are standalone products out there that are made specifically for voice comms so there is little to no point including something inferior in MTA or taking valuable time develping something of equal quality. Players can use anything from Roger Wilko for tiny memory, CPU and bandwidth usage right up to Teamspeak, which takes considerably more of all three but does have added functionality (Most of which would be superflous for simply playing MTA). FAT(PHIL)
lol having voice chat for mta would be like the voice chat in sven co-op,too many damn 9 year old kids screaming in the mic Link to comment

=Phil=
I can imagine people singing "heads, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes" whilst blasting everyone with the M4.. I'll just stick to keyboard chat Link to comment
Guest
Noob here probably missing something in the technicalities but when you guys talk about talking in game...you mean to replace the current method of communication which is "chat typing" right? Well here's what I would love to see. In game talking but in a realistic manor. i.e the character you control in the game talks and you can only be heard by other characters in the game that are near-by (within realistic ear shot). So say I wonder off to a part of the map where there are no other players...well then I can speak/sing/swear to my hearts content but basically I will be speaking to myself, the other players will not hear me. Now lets say there is a big battle going on with 20 people all close to each other. OK there maybe a lot of screaming etc but then again so would there be in real life! If some kid is annoying you with what he is saying then kill em. Bang! He aint annoying you no more because he cannot now be heard. Now I know what your thinking...but sometimes you want to talk to someone far away from you on the map so you can meet up etc...fine leave the chat type facility in for this. As I said I am a total noob with MTA and know zip about programing, but I hope someone seriously considers this as I think the potential could be huge. Link to comment
Guest
Voice Chat?....MTA?....and have noobs complaining and arrongant assholes shouting in my ear....NO THANKS haha yea thats right Link to comment
Leviathan
plz don't support voice chat in MTA, just use the programs As teamspeak ventrilo or skype outside program if you want voice. But audio taunts will be a lot better. Link to comment
Guest
It would be kinda funny, people would start saying something that would make others laugh like Nevada .. Yes, it would be annoying Link to comment
derhitman
voice chat is cool but u got to have the possibility to IGNORE but what u mean with voice chat ? real voice like: TeamSpeak , roger wilco. or just agame voice like a list of words that could be said Link to comment
Leviathan
I think a list with audio commands is better than the whole build in teamspeak, you'd better download it yourself and run it on your background. Link to comment
Guest
..come on now, It would be fun to sing while killing people.. I used to do it all the time but then it got lame, because most guys would use 'pick up' lines lol.. but I suppose it made it interesting *shrugs* Audio commands? .. like, Unreal Tournament? Link to comment
orappa
If audio commands were implemented, there would have to be anti-spamming precautions and some way of ignoring annoying users, like Tribes 2 has. Unreal Tournament probably has this as well. Link to comment
