How mutch compatibility problems?

I haven't played MTA yet because of my unskilfulness and .2's problems.

I'm really waiting for .3. But my question is: how mutch there will be compatibility problems.

I mean that host has for example stunt park which is modified file etc. and those who join don't have it.

Does that work? It isn't so fun to reallize that I can't join because host has somekinda new "cool" car that i don't have.

So if that works so, I recomment that MTA should have a description space for every server so hosts can give their descriptions.

Oh well keep it up MTA and yea I'm a n00b 8)

well, I think if you have a modified map (stuant park for example) it shouldn't do anything, except make you fly when you go, its just that it gives you the x,y,z location, (from what I gathered, I havn't heard about these sorty of questions for a while now) and as for car model, I think (THINK) if you have the same ahndeling.cfg (or something) it should be ok, im not to sure, can someone make sure im right?

handling.cfg checks could either be done server-side (sloooow), or client side with cfg checking (possible?)

easy solution = dont cheat :twisted:

maby u can use sum kind of checking when the client is conneting to the server. like what bf1942 does

good point with that. if it checks for a sort of cheat used in the cfg file while connecting it could save lag when first entering the game, but it might also slow the server down. but the question is, lag or cheat? ill take lag.

ill take lag too. but i dont think it will lag that much if it does a lil crc check before the client joins the game
