Suggestions for MTA 0.3+

Hi everyone @ mta.com's forum!

I really like MTA and everything about it! I played 0.2 at home, on my LAN. It's cool, but kinda buggy tough. And you all know that. I'm not critical. It's good with some bugs, so the programers doesn't stop their coding. And with bugs in earlier versions you can see how they make improvements in the future.

Oyeah, my suggestions:

# Please keep MTA to GTA3 _clean_! Don't make any new models; cars, planes etc.. No ramps or other custom things, clean and simple! Just like GTA3 but with MULTIPLAYER support. Crusing round the city with cars and so on, meet other people; kill them or what ever.

# Game modes; yeah it might be good, of course; deathmatch, teamdeatchmatch and some more, mayby capture the flag (hijack that car; HJC) :shock:! It would be awesome, and simple!

About all the other good idea's and suggestions; I think they would be better if they were inplented later, like a mod on a mod - or MTA+ or something like that. If you have it clean I bet you could get it out faster and reach a bigger market - all over the world! GTA rocks, big time!

As I said before; I really like MTA 0.2, and I want the coming versions that way to, but with no bugs ;). So just keep MTA _clean_!

What you guys think about this? I wanna reach the admin and programmers head, make my suggestions come true :)

Hey, it's not stupid, I have seen it some seconds ago :wink:

0.3b is coming in some days (maybe a week or 2) and it's gonna be like you say "clean" without new models and that (correct me if I'm wrong :P ).

The team is doing a great job with this mod, they left the other game modes for future releases and in 0.3b will be only deathmatch (I think) but still with only a game mode it will be sooooooooo fun :D

Oh, hi! Thank you ;).. everything you say sounds really good! I'm very excited about this next release and I'm gonna test it the very first day it becomes public :D
mta is not planning to release any mods for liberty city... maybe a skin (or you could use the built-in ones). Some game-modes are planned for future releases, but nothing else.
I was very pleased to hear that. A skin, yes that's cool for me :o But what is this ramps (don't know if it's the right word in english) that I see in movies and pictures? Just some fun for MTA to play with when they test the mod :)?

if two machines play on a lan with the same mods, the game will run fine, if they run it with different mods (say one person has a loop in the middle of the road and one doesnt) the game will crash.

MTA suggest a clean install of gta with no mods and skins etc.

I was very pleased to hear that. A skin, yes that's cool for me But what is this ramps (don't know if it's the right word in english) that I see in movies and pictures? Just some fun for MTA to play with when they test the mod ?

Has this been tested?

I only ask becuase it's not what I'd expect. I thought only position data was sent, so in theory the player without the loop would seee the one with it going round an invisible loop in mid-air.

possibly, but i still reckon the game would probably crash and give one person an advantage etc

and anyway, does another person just pass right through the seemingly invisible loop?

the server might crash cause of that

I wouldnt know if its been tested cause i didnt test it, im just making a suggestion to keep the game standard to avoid any more possible complications that the game already throws at the unsuspecting noob =)
