I have some problem about the CEF (chrome embedded framework). When I connect in a server who use CEF, MTA crashes.

I have Windows XP with Pentium 4, 1GB DDR ram, radeon 9200 128mb.

In cefdebug.txt (C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas 1.5\MTA\CEF) I've found this lines:

[0121/134922:WARNING:resource_bundle.cc(305)] locale_file_path.empty() for locale

[0121/134922:ERROR:main_delegate.cc(722)] Could not load locale pak for en-US

Since when do you have the problem? Has it ever worked?

Which service pack are you using? (Press the Windows key + Break)

Also please create a crashdump for CEFLauncher.exe to provide us some more info on what's causing it.

Since you have Windows XP you'll need to use this method, to enable crashdump creation for the crashing process:

1 ) Open a command prompt (run> ''cmd''), as administrator

2 ) Type in that commandprompt: drwtsn32 -i and press enter. This will set Doctor Watson as the default debugger when something crashes

3 ) Click Ok

4 ) From the command prompt, enter and run: drwtsn32

5 ) Set the Crash Dump path to your desktop > create a folder ''CEFDump'' and select the location (in the dr. watson window)

6 ) Set the Crash Dump Type to mini. (in the dr. watson window)

7 ) Make sure the Dump All Thread Contexts and Create Crash Dump File options are selected. (in the dr. watson window)

8 ) Click Ok

9) Run MTA and wait for CEFLauncher.exe to crash, now upload the crashdump from the folder ''CEFDump'' you created in step 5 to http://upload.mtasa.com and post the link in this topic

Thanks to all for the support! I hope I solve that problem.

Not the log, but the crashdump file please

It's called user.dmp in that folder, after you let it crash and set it up correctly following those steps, before.

The drwatson.log is also useful as it contains stacktrace and function it crashes at, but the dumpfile is more important to have,

so see if it's in the same folder and also upload it.

Thank you :) You are great!!! I've solved the problem :D:D:D

Also thanks to you for testing that out, so we could find the problem.

It's also now in MTA patch, see https://github.com/multitheftauto/mtasa-blue/commit/69a422575f3a5738d86762f916c1bdb5fccfac6e because you provided the crashdumps we managed to link some of the info inside it to that existing issue, and circumvented it with that file dbghelp.dll as it voids a problem caused by CEF building properties.

So it seems CEF has never ran correctly on most/some, if not all Windows XP MTA installations, anyone that want CEF to work on Windows XP need to update MTA as soon the build is ready.

I guess no-one ringed a bell earlier because almost no-one using XP these days..
