bcrt2000 Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 i know you showed the screenshot of the bridge which moves up and down.. im just wondering if it has been synched between the 2 PCs or if it is even possible?
CroxyBoy Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 If its not synced could you make it so its allways in one position (doesent move) preferebly down.
trx Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 If its not synced could you make it so its allways in one position (doesent move) preferebly down. Probably, I haven't tested it. I think that Portland and Staunton are big enough for 32 players. Ofcourse this needs testing, but it isn't much fun if you have to spend 3 minutes finding someone to tag.
Guest Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 I think with 32 players and high speed you will find peeps fast. We played Carmageddon at only 8 people in the it's big maps years ago and we found each other pretty fast.
bcrt2000 Posted May 18, 2003 Author Posted May 18, 2003 on a related note, id also like to know if game time is synched.. this one shouldnt be hard to do, right?
xerox Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 game time i think will be syncd, as will conditions (to even things up). As for the bridges, In a 2 city map, the bridge should be down, but in a 3 city map, leave it to go up and down =)
petebog Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 I think it's very important that game time is synched, not least for my Liberty City Street Race mods (plug, plug ). There may be a problem though with badly mismatched PC speeds? e.g. A PIII 500 128MB RAM struggling along at about 15fps vs. a top of the range Athlon constantly trying to beat the frame limiter..
xerox Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 heh - as long as their connections are the same it shouldnt matter too much. their games are transfering at the same rate.
dmaster Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 ive got 256 Mb of ram Celeron 2.20 1.5 MB internet lol everything should be okay right?
