MTA Team jhxp Posted July 15, 2015 MTA Team Share Posted July 15, 2015 Hi there. It has been nearly two months since we published a Release Candidate for the upcoming version for public testing. Today, we decided to conclude our tests with a stable release of Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas 1.5. If you have played the Release Candidate yourself or been following our news posts, then you should have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the new release. New features such as built-in Chromium/CEF (web browser) components and scripting functions for creating your own 3d lights are still in there, along with a bunch of other improvements and fixes in various areas of the MTA:SA client, server and default resource package. A brief list of changes can be found here, however if you are looking for more detailed lists, see below for instructions. This release is only compatible with MTA:SA servers that are also running the 1.5 version. In other words, you can not connect with a 1.5 client to a 1.4.1 server (or vice-versa). This should not be a big issue, because, for the time being, you can have both clients (1.5 and 1.4.1) installed at the same time and use the right client when needed. Regardless of that, we encourage all server owners to upgrade their servers to the newest version to take advantage of new features and bug fixes. Please note that this is our first stable release since we switched to Github. Should you be looking for an extensive change log, please check out this handy page, in addition to our now phased out Google Code project page. You can also find the change log at our bug tracker. Want to download MTA:SA 1.5? Click here to go to our home page. Once there, click the Download button at the top center of the page and you are set. Linux server packages are also available. Windows 10 notes Aside from our own release, we know that another big software release is just around the corner. We are talking about Microsoft Windows 10, which is said to start its deployment on 29th of July on some PCs and devices which are eligible for the upgrade. We know that many of you have already tried it though, and left us feedback in regards of MTA:SA's compatibility with the new OS. There were some reports related to client performance issues on recent Windows 10 builds (as seen here, here, here and here too), however they do not seem to happen anymore on the latest OS build (10156+). If you are running an Insider Preview of Windows 10 and are experiencing issues when playing MTA, you should upgrade your build to the newest one through Windows Update. Rest assured though, even if other issues or inconveniences when playing MTA:SA on Windows 10 will show up, we will focus on fixing them as soon as possible, only once the stable build of Windows 10 is released, however. Enjoy the Summer Season. -- MTA Team Link to comment
